So in a month I have trial. I'm just wondering if anybody knows anything about legal shit preferably in Ontario. So, background - A year ago me and the ex got into a massive fight she hit me a few times before I finally lost it and swung back. Well you can all guess how that ended seeing how I'm asking for advice...

Now, I'm wondering what would be best here. I will be attending school by that time keep this in mind. I also have the idea of getting my sister to talk to my ex (they have a good bond still, kind of) about her telling the judge she provoked it and hit me first, and also talk about me doing well in life and that she just wants it to be done with, ect making it obviously a long very believable story. Also have a very good lawyer (I'd ask her for advice but I can't exactly tell her we will be influencing the victims "speech?" on stand).

What else would be good for her to say to the crown. What else may be good that would kind of prevent jail time. On my disclosure they are going for 30 days by the way.

Thanks in advance, if there is something I missed that may be helpful please let me know what may be needed.

Well if it helps any, my current wife ripped the metal towel hanger off the wall and smashed me over the head with it twice. One more time and i might of swung on her.

You are paying your lawyer right? If you can't be honest with your lawyer, find a new one.
