I'm experimenting with a few extractions.
1) ISO- Yesterday I ran 1 jar of popcorn buds with 99% alcohol(waiting for it to evaporate)
2) I ran 1 bowl of buds in a mixer with ice water, strained off the plant matter and have the liquid settling. I'm not using any bags, so just going to let it settle and grab what I can. I'm drying out the plant matter on cookie sheets and will run them through acetone to see what else I can get out of them.
With the green ice water, once you let it settle you throw the water away? There's no more psychoactives in it? I was wondering if I should mix it with some alcohol, then let it settle and siphon off the alcohol layer to see if anything was in it?
My uncle claims when they were kids acetone was better than iso alcohol because the acetone doesn't absorb muscarines the way ISO alcohol does, and it evaporates faster...but mainly he said the buzz was better without the muscarines...but I've never seen it mentioned on any forums.
