could really use some advice

The last 7 seeds that I've germ'd have failed. They will sprout, then after about an inch and half tall, they lay over and die. What kills me is that I'm using the exact same soil, exact same methods as every other plant I've ever grown.

Could my soil be contaminated? It's the same soil, just been sitting mixed up, inside my house in a bucket. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Whats therest of your setup like. Lights, area, all that goodness.

Also what soil are you using

I start my seeds in a solo cup, a soil mix that is mostly non-nute'd seedling starter. The rest is perlite and MG potting mix. Keep them under a row of CFLs until they get about 4 inches tall, then I move them to a bigger hps light. Do not water with anything more than a misting from a spray bottle, until after transplant. I've had 100% success in the past with this exact same method.

Oh yea, the most recent seeds were random bag seeds and 3 white widow autos from Dinafem. These are the ones that all germ'd and died

I would go with the seedling starter and perlite only. Skip the MG potting mix, it isn't necessary and isn't going to help the seedlings at all. They will be fine until they are 4" tall and you transplant them. Sounds like your watering is under control so MG is causing the problem IMO. Less is more when they are that young. Good luck

Thanks guys. I took another bean, a BBxNL auto, and dropped it in a jar of water overnight, then put it in a solo, with my mix, it sprouted and is stretching up. I also, put a plastic bag over the cup for a few days, and it seemed to help.

Just a little update...I planted a total of 5 seeds. 4 of them were from dinafem, 3 WW autos and one Amnesia auto, The 5th seed was a freebie, NLxBig Bud auto, from another breeder, can't remember it from the top of my head. The only one that lived, was the NLxBB. I'm not bad mouthing Dinafem, from everything I've heard, they have some pretty stable gentics, but all 5 seeds were treated the same, and the only one that has survived thus far, is the one that's not a Dinafem. I know that with any type of consumer good, even the best, of the best, will sometimes have a faulty product. Does this seem plausible?

Its a seed, a living piece of genetic tissue, not a machine.
2nd, Maybe they will be slower to germinate, even seeds of the same variety may be different amongst themselves.

I say wait, unless their is mold or some other indicator of positively no germination will occur.

Any seeds I have like this, I drop in soil...some sprout some don't.

Damping off could be a problem if you watered a shit ton.

I still say wait a lil longer and see if something happens....

I agree on waiting before righting them off. Also, dont put any kind of humidity dome/plastic over a seedling. Greatly increases the chance for the stem to rot.

I recently got 3 amnesia autos, 1 haze 2 auto, and one critical plus 2 auto from dinafem. They all germinated and made it. Just soaked for 24 hours and planted in soil 1/4" deep in solo cups on a heat mat.

Thanks for the responses. The 4 seeds that didn't make it, actually did germ and sprout. then at about an inch tall, they nose dived and died. I'm sure it's my fault, but the 5th seed, that was treated the exact same, only difference being breeder, is growing. I wasn't trying to "bad mouth" a breeder or anything. But, I do know that even with the highest quality product, whether it be natural, or manmade, there will be duds. I used to sell doors and windows, and I would stand by Larson store doors to the end, but even occasionally, there'd be a screw up.

But, I spoke with the seedbank, didn't ask for any recompense or anything, just sent them some feedback and asked if they had any reports on recent orders, they said no, but offered to send me extra freebies to replace them on my next order. I told them that it wasn't necessary, that I wasn't fishing for any kind of freebies, and that they still had my business. They responded back that they still wanted to give me some freebies. For something, that is in all reality, probably my fault, which I even admitted to them, that is pretty badass service.
