could a powerhead be bad for a DWC

hey woke up this morning and my plant is basically dead and the only thing different i did last night was add a powerhead so that my water is constantly moving. Is there a chance that this powerhead could have killed my plant or made the plant become overwatered? thanks!

Could be that it was not properly sealed and leached chemicals into the res, or more likely, it raised the temp way too high.

What kind of powerhead?

One like this?

I always have had a powerhead in all my dwc tubs.

Check your pH meter calibration.

Flush and change the rez.

In DWC there only a few things that can go wrong. Thats why its so easy next to the Hempy Bucket. First off you have temps in grow area. 77 ideal next PH & PPM then water temp in the rez. try to maintain 67 to 68 opt. And of course good lighting with good vent. If those requirments are met then I'm stumped.

i think my plant might have died because of the alage on the roots as opposed to the powerhead. my question is a silver rubbermaid container enough to hide the light from getting algae inside or should i add some white carboard?
