Cost to run 400 HPS vs. 250 HPS?

not a lot of people realize it but a 400 watt HPS is not a lot of power being used at all.... the average light bulb for your tv room or ben room is around 100watts depending on the buld you buy..... i would say its well worth it to go with a 400 over a 250 cuz a 400 is so cheap to run.. its when you get up into the 4 thousand watts and higher is when you wanna becareful the the elec compant

How about those desktop computers with a 1500w power supply now plus monitor plus printer plus scanner plus speakers etc etc etc plus 3 roommates yikes!

yikes is rights thats why i live on my own with no roommates but still gots that desktop computer

Great Question Here Is Mine: I'm going from a 250w magnetic to a 400w digital (Solis Tek) and I pay .138160 per/kWh can someone tell me what a metal halide running 18/6 and what a high pressure sodium running 12/12, both now 400w will roughly cost me to run each month??? Now I can run 250w or 400w with my new ballast, maybe I should stick with 250w, I really need some good answers because I'm a disabled paraplegic living on Social Security Disability. HELP!!! GRAND PRIX

i dont think you have too much to worry about with that 400w im running one now plus a 100w and I think all together with both lights running its around $10-12 extra. I want to upgrade to a 1000w but that may be too much at the moment.
