The corn they grow where I live is seed corn and feed corn (animals). There are a lot of test plots and they do different shit to them.

Personally I would want my weed pesticide free, just like I'd prefer my food to be pesticide free.

as long as its not sprayed when its budding it would be totally safe to smoke. I have never seen a crop of 6ft corn being sprayed by anything, the only way they could is by airplane.

Hence the need for crop dusters, they were just dusting less than a mile from my house not even 2 weeks ago. The planes were doing their turn arounds above the field behind my backyard.

I used to work in a lab doing pesticide residue analysis for big companies that were developing these chemicals for market. They are tested over and over by an independant lab such as the one I worked at. There are high standards of integrity as well and the chemists and analysts that I worked alongside took great pride in maintaining theirs.

Most if not all pesticides used on crops intended for human consumption are pretty safe by the time that produce would hit the market. Most are made to break down into harmless by products within short periods of time.

I would only worry if that cornfield was sprayed very close to your harvest time. During the veg part of the season I would look at the pest spraying as an added bonus to your grow and no expense to you.
