coping with winter

I've found this winter especially rough as far as keeping my spirits high. My heart is broken and the weather is making it so much harder to cope with. I haven't slept in three days now, and I really think if i can't sleep tonight I'm going to go fucking crazy. I was just wondering if anyone else has a similar experience/any tips for keeping my morale up.
Thanks :peace:

Sounds like you have a good case of cabine fever,or as they say now a days,SAD.Go sit in your grow room with your plants and suck up some of that light.A couple hours a day should fix you right up.OPH :bigjoint:

I feel for you. Winter is almost done like misshestermofitt said. Hopefully spring will be nice. Try to think of all the positives like what your going to do after it thaws out. Plan a growroom and grow something to knock you out next winter. It allways gets better. Keep the faith!

I'm already performing spring rituals. I've planted onions and basil, and today I planted some tulips in pots to force them.

It sure is nice outside today, warm and the sun is shining.

I like in Alaska with days with 20 hours darknes in the winter and temps usually under 0 degrees. ONly thing that keeps me sane is growing things and tanning. Just grow anything, doesnt have to be marijuana. Get a small grow light and grow some herbs or peppers. Hang in there, warm weather is coming soon.

I also don't like winter...cold outside...fewer hours of sunlight....less to do..... I'm an outside kinda person.
.
I'd never make it up in AK...... I'd be like Jack in " The Shinning..".....
.
Music is what helps me deal with sad days. I burned a cd on my PC with only songs I like - nothing negative in any way. I listen to it daily.......
.
Positive words & vibes....make for more positive days..... So, round up all the music you like and record it onto one tape or cd. Then listen to it for one hour after work and ten minutes prior to bed. It will help get your mind back on track... helps you count your blessings and generally improves winter days.....
.
Hope this helps.... Peace....

Just a random thought, but if you have chronic insomnia you should look into whether you have fibromyalgia. If it is occasional, then forget it, but if you have trouble sleeping almost every night then it could be a possibility.

Take melatonin. It did work for me for 10 years, then it stopped. Insomnia sucks a big one.

I feel you about the winter- I went from Texas to a dreary, grey city in the UK. It's dark, cold & wet.

You shoud spring for some fresh flowers and put them in a vase where you can see them often. It's amazing what seeing fresh flowers can do for a persons morale, regardless of their gender.
