Coolest Smoking Pipe?

The wife has major issues smoking from a pipe or bong, after a hit or 2 she can't stop coughing and quits. Is there a specific type of pipe for a cool, smooth smoke?

Personally i don't mind taking huge hits and coughing like hell, the end result is worth it, but the wife takes small hits with some air and still has issues

Ehh if water and ice can't help Ide invest in a vape.

We have a vape, but the buzz just isn't as good. We get the head high fine but little body effect

Glass rods or the herb iron might help a bit as well.

try using a thin hemp wick, and ive found that a steamroller with alot of bends/loops/twists makes for a nice smooth hit.

and for a bong, just get a nice ice perc, or put your bong water in the freezer for 20 or 30 mins till its icy cold then use it, works pretty well for me.

waterpipe (hookah)

is probably the smoothest smoke (gravity bong is the smoothest "big" hit)

but id go for a good waterpipe.

you can have ice in the hookah too. (if its a good one (maybe its best to make your own))

I let the water filled portion of my bubbler sit in salty ice bath before using it - the salt really really helps get it super cold.

When it comes to non water pipes long thin stems help quite a bit imo.

These are tobacco pipes but this one smokes much cooler than all the rest. I know you can find glass sherlocks with super super long thin stems.

Quite honestly I'd just have her switch to honey oil. One hit of that will knock her off her socks for a few hours. Gets all the coughing out all at once.

My gal has the same issue... A silver surfer vape does a great job.. better than any vape imo... And we save at least 40-50% of our stash... Not to mention our lungs... Ahhh... The cleanup is nothing... No more nasty ass bong water..

It just seems that a vape doesnt give the well-rounded kind of buz smoking herb does.

I just remembered the term I originally meant to ask about far as cool-smoking pipes. Will a diffuser (lots of holes far as I can find out) go a long way to help avoid coughing one's ass off?

From my experience the cooler you get the smoke, the larger the hit you can take without it burning your throat, and the more you cough after taking the hit.

Hot smoke burns your throat, big hits make you cough.

Diffusers help cool the smoke.

maybe look into an incredibowl. i have one and love it untill i broke the small bowl. now the hole is huge and air and smoke get into the chanber and its alot more harsh

I have a Sherlock pipe but it's really a chore to handle and the hole is huge so taking BIG hits is the only way you get them.

The little spoon ones are still my fav. Not the best for getting a cool hit but easy to handle, carry, and the hole is just right.

Coughing due to expansion is suppose to be a good thing I was told.... if your smoke doesnt expand in the lungs and you dont get a good cough, i was told the weed isnt that great,,,, now this may be different from smoking harsh mexi-brick type of cough.... may be the ddt irritating your lungs.... you can tell the difference if you cough and it hurts your nuts,,, they are shrinking from the chemicals... lol.

what type of vape do u have? I do this with a volcano sometimes...do a higher temp and place the mouth piece of the volcano on opening of the downstem and hit the bong... wont feel anything

Wowie 'tanker! You hace a NICE pipe collection...I've always been intrigued by old tobaccdo paraphanalia...I have a couple old hand blown bohemian glass opium pipes, the bowl looks like a poppy...

SG Pillar if you've got a lot of money to spend... perhaps the smoothest hit of anything out there. Otherwise for roughly half that amount I'd look into getting a used Toro Circ/circ. It provides an airier hit than a tree perc. You'll be able to take massive rips with absolutely zero effort. Throw on a circ ash catcher for even more filtration.

By the way Meta, very nice traditional pipe collection you've got there! I remember seeing a Strambach Calabash listed a couple of years ago on CL and am still kicking myself to this day for not snagging it.

I would vote for the Incredibowl M420 with XL tube. Hits big but VERY smooth. As long as you clean it once in a while. I just keep one screen and one bowl soaking in alcohol, use the other, then switch when it gets harsh.
