CooldDude's 2nd run PC Case+Grow Bin: +Speed

Hey guys! After my first run, I'm starting this one without a break!

My PC Case is the same as before. All the specs are mentioned in my previous run, plus my vegging lights are the same.

This time I'm also going to try and build a grow bin with 5050 Led strips ONLY!! (Shout out to Mewk!!)

So I'm running 2 ladies from Sweet Seeds: +Speed! They say that they'll be ready in 7 weeks but I dunno!!
Hope so!! Both of my seeds have germinated so tomorrow I'll put them in soil and build my Grow Bin!

So, change of plans!! I got some free seeds (don't ask how!), in which between are some Think Different!!
In my grow bin (which is 35cm wide and has 51 cm height), I'll be growing one of them!! But I really don't know how much soil to put in order for my lady to become about 40cm!!
I was thinking about 9-10 lt. pot but I can't just guess!
Has anyone done something with Think Different before?? Thanks!!

Thing is, I've already transplanted in soil and the one of them two +speed s is already showing up! Damn that thing is fast!
I'm gonna keep the other one on my desk for a discreet guerilla grow in a little cup!!

Ok, so the speeds are really fast, 2 days after their transplant, 3 from germination:

I hope they'll be doing their thang quick!!
So, Lady#1 is going in the pc and Lady#2 is staying on my desk in that little cup so everybody can see her. It's a good thing to disorient people with tricks like this.
She'll be having a 9w (Chinese) LED on her most of the time and hopefully she'll not be getting that much darkness, cos' I sleep too much.. Or I'll connect her to a time...sthng!

I'm waiting for the Think Different to germinate and hopefully I'll have my grow bin set by the end of the week! She's not too much of a rush right now!

Instead of 5050 strips...try the 5630's (5730's) much better light output...same space input.

I've seen them, thing is they might get a bit warmer than I need them to be, so it'll be about 6 5050 strips of which the 2 will be 14.4w, and the rest 7.2w!

Yeah the 5630's run a bit warmer...but if your vents are up to standard...shouldnt cause a problem.

Yeah they are quite bright....but they wont bleach your plants as individually the diodes arent that powerful...itz the collective awesomeness that we want.

Maybe a strip of 5630's and 5050's?

Hey, Cool if you drop the light closer on your next cup grow you can combat that stretch. With the cfls @ 4" is perfect for seedlings and such. I run the cfls @ 1" or less during flower and so far she seems really happy.

Hey Spank! Thanks for the advice! It's really close most of the time! Though in my last run in the same distance, my lady got LED bleaching.
These things are really powerful! I'll do that later for sure though, to combat da stretch!!
