:eyesmoke:I took my six in cool tube. I took the metal pebble reflector attachment with the two u clips. I unsrewed the the side flaps. I then took an extra pebble relfector. I split it up the middle with a hack saw. It tears like foil! I then drilled two holes.

Now my htg cooltube has 12 in side reflector panels as opposed to the two in. that came with it.

My veg tent is 3x2x5 so this completely covers my veg tent with a pebble cooltube and reflector. I checked the lumens an area went from a wobbly 10k lumens to an easy 30k lumens!

I did a crappy job with the cutting. I have no tools but a shitty fake hack saw and a pair of wire cutters. But my two dollare home dept hack saw did the job enough!

So this is cake but 10k to 30k and you can bend wherever you want, Also I am sure we all got an extra pebble laying aorund.

cheers.

use your imagination. bigger cool tube wings. . . lol, jk!

when my camera charges I will post some. Damn tho, I never knew my 400 was wasting so much in a cool tube, Wasting lumens. Cools better tho, and I only veg four.

if this works out as well as I think then I am going four an 8 incher four flowers!

I guess if yu got extra free hoods laying around this is cake, but thye cost like 30 bucks I think alone. Still makes sense with the cooling power of a cooltube. I have seen people attach an adjust a wing to a cool tube.

blah, blah , blah, allright I will charge my damn camera. lol.

Got your pic. I thought I dod a crappy job of cutting, as I was not in the mood to measure or crap, not my style, but I realized that I lucked out. The cracks I left around the sides of the cool tube let the heat vent. I mean it is not flush. I drilld the holes closer to the edges than the they did this time and not the heat escapes. That long peice is awuick fix as I drilled a whole to big!

oh yeah, that black thing on the end of my cooltube is a powerful little cpu fan I think that came with a shitty foothill filter off eBay. I took it off and attached it to my tube, At the other end a 6 in valueline fan pulss 420 cfmkiss-ass

nice! Yea that sounds like it would make it more efficient at directing the light seeing that you only have 4 plants. not sure it would be worth it in a larger room with other lights but for a closet grower thats a great addition. You can adjust the angle of the panels easily right? I myself have a easycool6 400 watter and i love it! I was going to get the cooltube6 but htg supply ran out before i could buy it so i went with the easycool. Its basically a cooltube but with a larger reflective surface shaped like a regular 4 sided reflector.. The glass panel even unlatches and opens on 2 hinges for easy access and cleaning. its 80$ if you add it to a kit. cooltubes/enclosed reflectors are definetly worth the extra dough.

I hope that small fan isnt your only source of airflow! 2 6" duct fans keep mine warm to the touch.

Nah, I am a medical tent gower. That is my veg. My flower is under a htg airlfow hood, the 180 dollar one. I kinda want an 8 in cool tube to cool better as I live in the desert. I only worry about the light diamater. I had the euro hood also, but it was way to small. I recomend the cooltube to cool and making some bigger wings. I bet they sell them for a price. I have seen them made too, I just have the cheap reflector they give with lumatek on eBay. I have a 400 and a 600 and have to run an 8 inch valueline fan at 800 or so cfm and a 600 cfm 6 inch valueline that I run too. I have small booster fans I had laying around on all my lights to help a little.

In a big room the best I saw was albfucts cooltubes with his extend a wings. Those are cool. Lumen loss thru the tube is an issue. I can see why they keep the metal in the tube. The less times it bounces thru glass is good.

If yu want area man the airflow knocked me away, but a cooltube with extend wings is looking better!

Aww i see. Yes ive seen al b fucts cooltubes they are pretty cool. I dont see how anyone could NOT use a cooltube in small 4x4 or so space as its benefits outweigh its cost.

I've been wanting to do that to my tube. I've just never seen the pebble metal for sale anywhere in sheets. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.
