Controlling Odor in a Large Grow Room....

Hi

'Friend" has a pretty decent setup in an 18' x 12' Sealed flowering room. Perpetual so only 1/3 of the room ever at peak potency at one time. Have a 4ft x12" MountainAir carbon filter and a 1050cfm 12" fan running 24/7 in this sealed grow room. However the smell still seems to be getting out.

What is the next step to ensure no smell? Buy another filter and fan?If so, how big? Or invest in ONA gel and fan? I've never used ONA and see they have the gel/fan setups, but read multiple places not to run them in the grow room itself.

Sealed room...no intake or exhausting. AC and CO2

Then you're stuck with adding more scrubbing capacity.

That may not be the best advice for keeping large grows under the radar.

True, Only asking bc guy at hyrdo shop said adding another scrubber won't do anything lol And he makes money from selling em lol

OK, here's another thing you can use.

Negative Ion Generator

incorporate into your scrubber, it will make particles drop out of the air. Installing an easily changable HEPA filter post NIG and pre CF would be smart.

Keep plants happy and healthy and they won't stink. Unless they get too hot or you brush against them little smell is released. Rupturing the waxy coating on the trichomes let's the volatile terps release, especially with excess heat. Keep em stress free and all is good

I don't run any carbon filters or any sort of odor protection.

The cured buds stink to high heaven, this is how its supposed to be

the guy at the hydro store is probably right. If your filter is good u should not have a smell problem. Id say there is nearly a 100% chance u have an air leak or u enter/leave your room too often.

But even if I have a leak, shouldnt the smell not be there as all the air in the room is being filtered?

Man, Ive seen you post some on point advice in other threads but this is so wrong it is staggering. Some strains smell less than others but they all put out some odor,especially healthy ones. Even if what you said is true, it would still be worth being mindful of the odor (by scrubbing/filtering) because no one can get through an entire grow without touching their plants.

Been true for me, for many years.. pull a QP per week, those aren't low odor strains.. I'm not used to it, neither is the company I often have come over.

Hahahahha. I've heard it all now. He's some good advise . If your plants don't stink in flower, your growing some booboo

silly shit here....if you have any grow skill at all and even halfway good genetics....shits gonna stink....mayby skunk, diesel, catpiss, earthy...whatever.....fuckin retards here or what?

and to you other fucks....if a filter cover your smell....your grow skills or genetics suck.....get a fuckin clue and have some pride in your grow...
