Considering 4x4 1200w LED grow. How many plants?

Was thinking about 4 plants in a 4x4, topping them twice so each plant has 4 colas. All in 5 gallon buckets. I will have 2 600w lights for proper coverage and using general hydroponics nutrients. Was thinking 5 but I feel with each plant topped it will get too crowded.

Does any experienced growers have any predictions on yields with this set up? The strain is Blue Dream.

Are they blurple? Most lights that claim to be 600 watts are actually way less. What brand are they?

damn man i wish i had known this before i bought them. they probably are. they are WAKYME 600w
Are they purple looking with 2 switches? Blurples can still grow weed. They just aren't as efficient as the newer stuff. If you bought them on Amazon you could return them, and we can help you make a better choice. But like I said they'll work fine.

I looked them up. Ya, they're only 110 watts each. The cheapest way to light a 4x4 is with HID lights.

ok i refunded the packages mid transit. i am thinking of the mars hydro ts 600watt lights. they dont seem to have that blue/purple hue emitting from the led's but i dont know the actual wattage output since i am now just learning these classifications are misleading. do you have any insight to this brand?

You can pretty much ignore Amazon reviews. Many of them are fake especially for things like cheap LEDs. Amazon doesn't give a damn if the reviews are fake or not. They get a cut of everything sold on their site.

Yes and no. There's a shitload of obvious fake ones, there's the fake ones that I don't know are fake, then there's the ones that showed the pictures of the guy plugging the lights into the watt meter.

I usually can trust the guys posting pictures of them plugging into the watt meter and showing what they consider the true draw, especially when it shows that the stated 220 watt light is actually 184 watts but still a good deal.

I love my lights and I bought them based on reviews.

You can't trust any of the reviews. Verified, with pictures, etc...

What's your budget? Like I said HID will be the cheapest. I think that ts600 is like 100 watts, but I'm not positive. All I have are HLG lights for led. But lots of people order off Alibaba in China to save money. You can build your own too.

You really want 35 watts per sq ft with quality LED's. 50 watts per sq ft for HID or blurple.

You could follow this thread too. Sometimes the deals are pretty crazy cheap. There was one that was like $25 on sale the other day. It was a 100 watt one. So 4 of those for $100 wouldn't be a bad risk, and would probably work fine for a 4x4, but it expired.

thanks for the reply. you are right the lights i posted previously are only 100watts, way less than what i need. however after a lot of research into this topic i have decided to go with 2 LED lights with a power draw of 250 watt, so 500 true wattage in a 4x4. this is the amazon page. i believe finally this light setup will be the one i go with after much deliberation on the subject

Cheap because some china manufacturer has a crap ton of stock that is old and out dated. Hope you can return them for something that isn't purple lighting.

Personally, I wouldn't get those. You could probably get a couple Meiju boards off Alibaba for cheaper.
