Confusion with ScrOG method

Hey there,

bit confused with the whoe scrog method

afew questions ( newbie questions lol )

1) i understand you should fill the screen up to 60-80% before 12/12, but before 12/12 should all tips be above screen (if so how much above?)? or pushed back under?
And then do you keep pushing under for first 2 weeks?

2) what should the distance of the screen be between it and the plant pot? think i read 8" is good?

When filling the screen, you are pulling the tips back down below the screen. All the significant tips will be below the screen prior to 12/12. I will keep doing this after 12/12 until I start seeing some flowering.

The percentage you fill the screen will depend on the strain & available grow height. If I am growing a tall plant w/a lot of stretch, I may fill the screen 50% before I flip the lights. A short plant w/little stretch, I may fill the screen a little more.

Kinda depends on your strain & available grow height. It is easier to work with the screen above the pot, but then you are taking away some available space for flowering. I have a short grow box, and I have my screen 6" above pot. 8-12" sounds fine.
