confused about vaporizing

hey guys just bought a vaporizer whilst i was in town and it was pretty cheap only £10. I was looking to buy one and liked the style of the vaporgenie and its cheap for it only £50 which is reasonable compared to the volcano or others i have seen. its the style you use a lighter and light it like a pipe, check the pics. it seems to be burning the weed when i put the lighter really close and i dont seem to get any vapor when i move the lighter farther away from it. im really confused lol heres a few questions i have.

1) do i grind up the weed before i put it in the bowl?
2) what can i do with the vaped weed?
3) is there a different high with vaped compared to smoked weed?
4) should i ever clean it out? and if so how?

im not really expecting too much out of it as it was only £10, and i plan on buying a better one if this one turns out to be shit. any help would be appreciated and cheers if anyone has any answers

The high is clear and not as "foggy",
but it kind of gives me a headache.
Once you hit the burnt popcorn taste, throw it out.
Some people save their vaped weed and smoke it, but I'm not a fan of smoking herb with little to no THC

1) Yes
2) Throw it out.
3) Marginally yes, because you're not smoking all the other shit that's in weed.
4) Yes, hot water and soap, pipe cleaner, rubbing alcohol.

a vape that has hand held heat source is going to be a little tricky to use
it will take practice, what you want to see is the vaped weed should not have any burn, just dried out
it's a great way to use the herb

1) do i grind up the weed before i put it in the bowl?
Yes.
If you don't grind it up, the vaporizer will be less efficient and you'll be leaving behind a bunch of the cannabinoids you're trying to inhale.

2) what can i do with the vaped weed?
Some people save up a bunch of it, then use it to cook with or make other edibles, figuring there are some cannabinoids left inside.
Most people throw it away.

3) is there a different high with vaped compared to smoked weed?
Yes, there definitely can be.
Burning (combustion) releases all the available cannabinoids at once. Vaporizing typically does not.

Different cannabinoids vaporize at different temperatures, so they'll come out in different ratios depending on the temperature you vaporize at.

Speaking in general, vaping gives you more of a stimulant "head" high. If you want more of that "body" high, you need to use higher temperatures (to the extent possible with your vaporizer) to get out as many cannabinoids as possible. In a nutshell, you want the temp as high as reasonably possible, but NOT enough to burn the weed.

4) should i ever clean it out? and if so how?
I haven't used your vapor genie pipe, but in general vaporizers do eventually get clogged up with resin. Many users will scrape it out and smoke it; the resin is practically pure cannabinoids.
Assuming you don't want to reclaim this stuff, you can probably dissolve it out with some organic solvent like acetone.

I've been going back and forth between vaping and combusting the past month...I know you get different cannabinoid profiles. More CBD and CBN when combusting, at least in my experiences.

The only reason I know is because I have Pancolitis and when I vape my symptoms start to return. When I go back to combustion, my symptoms disappear. Lot of cb2 receptors in the gut....helps me a lot

hey cheers for quick replies guys. i managed to get it working ok and its not burning the weed anymore which is good. smoked my vapor for last night and got pretty wasted on a very small amount which was good, seems like more of a clean more awake type high if that makes sense. pretty happy I managed to get it for just £10 so pretty surprised it works at all lol. thanks for the help

I like the volcano as well, but it's a little pricey for my budget. I have an Arizer Extreme Q because I like being able to fill up a bag. My response to the questions asked are based on my personal experience, need, and use.

1) do i grind up the weed before i put it in the bowl? Ialways grind up my weed for vaping
2) what can i do with the vaped weed? I use the same bowl for about 3 vaped bags, I grow my own so I throw out the used weed
3) is there a different high with vaped compared to smoked weed? There is a difference in the high, lighter and smoother IMO
4) should i ever clean it out? and if so how? When I toss out what's left in the bowl I clean everything with alcohol
