Computing without forum

Going to try to explain this with words cuz I'm being a retard with gimp... Imagine that instead of computing with a singular processor and memory in a fixed position and working separately, your computer was made of tiny diamond shaped "cells" (self contained mini computers that are small processing, communicating, power generating and storing units) that not only worked together to process information, but were capable of learning and also acted as a display? in other words, the computer is the display, and the display is flexible, tearable, is an input surface and can generate power from use (button pushes generate power through friction between "cells") For example, you turn on your computer with a quick squeeze and opened up a media player, with a twist of the formless blob. you then proceed to flatten out the computer and use the whole surface as a flat panel speaker. you start getting board with the music so you rip off a chunk and start a piano application that forums keys and start making your own music, this gets boring and you run an app that transforms the computer into a remote controlled car (with one chunk as the controller and one as the car)

It's called nanotechnology---somebody has already beat you. Turn your tech brain to genetically modifying super marijuana strains.

Yeah I've read articles and seen demo's of some of the stuff your talking about---people already working on it---they look like stoners---so they will never get done in a reasonable amount of time.

But it would be so awesome. I dare to say it would be so awesome that it would change the way we think :eyesmoke:
