I don't think anybody has carried a thread like you have single-handedly carried This Thread @BarnBuster thank you for keeping my baby alive LOL.

I bought a computer case from TigerDirect some number of years ago. But did prefer Newegg for most of my shopping. Until Amazon came along LOL.
Newegg is close by me in Baldwin Park. I still buy from Amazon  Prices aren't what they once were.

Since ITunes (free) became Apple Music (not free) I need a replacement and I'm thinking MusicBee or FooBar2000. Anybody have experience
with either.
Ran across a geek forum (more than just headphones)

Been using Thunderbird as a email since switching from Outlook Express (!). If you use TB and are tempted to go to v.115 (Supernova, major upgrade), you may want to wait a while, still b u *gg y. Easy enough to revert back, though.

I like foobar, but I use it primarily for access to the old WinAmp visualizers. Foobar's interface is pretty darn basic, but it gets the job done if all you want is to listen to mp3 files on your puter.

Biz never wants to spend $$$ for top notch IT security until it's too late. :(
What they probably needed , which other health care organization I have recently worked for had , was a second authentication to get into the system. We used an app called DUO at the last hospital I worked at. You had to download the app on your phone and when you logged into the hospital software you were automatically prompted to verify through your own phone or you couldn’t open up any software. It was a pain in the ass but I see the need. The place I am at now are complete idiots. They were actually hacked years ago and were asked to pay like a huge sum of bitcoins or some shit like that. At that time they had a “back door to get back into the system to use it. Currently there is no back door and we are completely locked out. So if they are asking for compensation and we give it, who is to say they will abide?

I closed my checking account which had direct deposit. I also froze my credit files with all three companies. Management said they didn’t get that info but to keep an “eye” on it. I don’t trust these people. I have only been here 5 week and I have heard some very sketchy things about this company already and then This happens! Now I hear we won’t be up for 5-8 weeks. I am looking for another job already. This totally sucks!

"Young children who spent more time in front of screens -- whether television, video games, or mobile phones and other electronic devices -- had higher likelihood of developmental delays, according to a Japanese study. Parent-reported data for screen time could be inaccurate if parents do not recall or are not aware of all of their children's screen exposures or under-report it, Nagata noted. "Also, the screen time data was initially collected in 2013 and there are newer technologies, devices, and apps that children may be exposed to now in 2023"

This site lets you search gov databases for states/counties:

CLUE (LexisNexis) stands for “comprehensive loss underwriting exchange”, and CLUE reports disclose the insurance claims history for a person or property. If you’re buying a house, you can learn the claims history of the property by requesting a CLUE report from the owner. Additionally, you can request a CLUE report for yourself to see your own history of auto and home insurance claims. Free:

Various free consumer credit, banking, loan, housing, insurance employment history reports you can request:

You will not have an MIB Underwriting Services Consumer File unless you have applied for individually underwritten life or health insurance in the last seven years:

It's surprising to see such a large gathering of drama llamas in one place. They are usually fairly solitary in their habit preferring to blend in with herds of alpacas. I wonder if they are migrating?

Jesus, BB just gave advice to 15 people. "Dear BB", I can see it in syndication now. @neosapien needs to get in here and we can volley back and forth, you know, good Ann Landers, bad Dear Abby. LOTS of truly dumb 20 somethings.
