Sound was a big issue for me to when I was setting up my grow tent, and I dreaded getting an in-line fans because everyone said they sounded like jet engines, especially the vortexs and cans. I met a guy who had been grow med. cannabis for years inside of this apartment. He showed me his in-line fan and my ears couldn't believe it there was a little sound from the air being release at the top of the tent but it wasn't lounder than a spicket. The name of it was called sunleaves I remembered it and now its all I use I got a 436cfm and if you arn't right on top of it you can't even hear it.:weed: Check em out you won't regrett it.

What type of setup are you looking at? How big will the grow area be? This will determine what type/size fans you'll need and will help us give you a better answer.

I have an inline from Home Depot and it is covered in duct insulation and I can barely hear it. Total cost for the fan, duct and insulation was less than a hundred bucks and it doesnt sound like a turbine winding up to take flight.

Its easy as hell to set one up. Once you buy your in-line fan hang it from inside your grow tent. Make sure it will not interfere with your light. Hook the ducting up to either your carbon filter or your cool tube and then hook the ducting to one side of your in-line fan, then run ducting from the otherside of your in-line to outside the tent. Just incase it sounds like gibberish I will upload a picture of my ventilation set-up maybe that will help.:leaf:
