Complete Hydro Grow Room with Emily's Garden, 2' x 2' x 4'

Hey Guys! I'm starting a hydro grow in a couple weeks with this system right here. I have experience growing in hydro and soil, as this will be my third grow. What advice would you give me in starting this grow? I was planning on starting with a fast flowering, potent strain like AK-47 or maybe some White Widow. I want to use Advanced Nutrients throughout the whole grow.

Really I would go with a bigger light. Every thing sounds great other wise. I have a 2x3x5 tent with a 250w hps light and I am getting the 400w in 1 week. The 250 is not enough so I would think a 150 is weak. Also go air cooled hood, it will save you a lot of headaches. Don't always assume that a package deal is a good deal. You can get the tent from amazon for $75 and free shipping, 400w air cooled light is $220, the light hangers and timers another $25, oh and the inline fan and ducting is another $100. That saves you $79 and you get a better light. Hope this helps.

Sounds good! I'm going to go with the same setup I had before, but I'll get a 250 watt HPS Air Cooled light to replace the 150 watt HPS that is in the package. Thanks @Jonnychron!

Look into bulbs that have enhanced spectrum like agro/horitlux. You get more blue light, better lumens per watt and @ 400/430w you should very good to go in that tent.

The 250W is a good move, but the 4' tall tent is a bad move I think. With the reflector, proper distance to plants, and the height of the Emily's garden, you're probably down to maybe 2' of vertical room for the plants?

Cutting it close dude, IMHO. I like the setup tho, I have a 2x2x5 tent that hosts 4 plants in soil and a 250W... but I might look at the Emily's Garden as an upgrade one of these days...

hey guys i just started a similar grow about 2 weeks in now. strains:bubblegum/apollo/purple urk/blueberry. emilys garden hydro system. hydrofarm 96w high output t5 fourescent 24/hrs a day for lighting (looking to upgrade to a 600w mh soon). Nutrient line: fox farm grow big/big bloom/tiger bloom/sesame to keep the grow medium clean and at optimal performance/beasty bloom and supernova for flowering. i plan to top and begin using bushmaster to get more lateral growth since i am in a tent. tent is 62x36x20 mylar coated inside. all you experienced growers plz your opinion is greatly appreciated. here are some pics. was wondering if anyone could explain why my leaves are bending in unusual ways

How did your grows turn out? dwill, I have the exact same tent and Emily's Garden setup, but I'm using a 125 cfl right now. Trying to decide if I should get another cfl and upgrade the bulbs to get 400 watts total, or just use this for veg and go HPS.

Anyways, I'm about 2-3weeks into growing, and I'm hoping they turn out alright. I think I might start a journal to ask for help.
