they probably won't fill in all the way. CFL's need to be 1-3 inches away from the canopy, they are awesome to grow numerous plants around but as overhead lighting you're not using them to their full potential. i'm doing CFL grows until i save enough for a nice LED panel(or four =P) and when my new house is finished.

ive super cropped my one plant so shes going to have like 2-3 colas that are a half oz each dry...FOR SURE. tested tried and true. i know i know pics or it didnt happen and i do but its from my cellphone and my girls phone doesnt take good pictures neither. most ive gotten off a single plant was 3 oz of aurora indica

i also bought these to help get them literally as close as possible to the nugs...be cautious though!!! burning leaves is fine but burning nugs will stunt them

HID for penetration, LED for SCROG and CFL to surround a plant for DENSE ass sticky nugs in a small place like a closet. ive grown the stink bud method with 4 1000watters before(thats my calling) , seen awesome LED grows (next step combined with the stink bud method) but i love the convenience of a 2-3 foot CFL plant or two .... or even three in a simple closet!!! just my two cents o_O happy growing my friend!

Bro Your so right,, the more spectrums you use the better the plant responds. I use true 250 watt CFLs and 100 watt LEDs and my Buds on my Papaya plant are has hard as rocks... I got 20 long stems and 2 inches thick that are packing on the weight, In my humble and accurate opinion you need at least the 250 watters for real hard buds using CFLs. 15000 lumens min for each bulb. The other CFLs work good for side lighting, I love the white LEDs also, here is the CFLs I'm talking about.

photo cfls 200 watts.jpg 16-8 250 true watts ... 85 bucks shipped. there the shit!!!!!!!!!!!!! look at this plant just starting to flower using these bitches photo foundation.jpg

The majority of my plant is within 3 inches. And I have had no problems so far with the light setup.

I HAZ TRICHS!!! Hard to see with my shoddy 7 year old cam. BUT THEY ARE THERE!!!

They are 3 weeks into flowering. They are supposed to finish 7-8 weeks. The biggest cola is 3 inches and wide as my thumb.
They look pretty normal for CFL flowering in 3 weeks plants. They will fill in a whole lot in the next few weeks...it is amazing if you take end pics, and then compare it to these pics, none of them will even look like the same plant.

Holy hell! You should tell more people about those lights you have...for real...Usually CFLs are just crap...I myself have 2 of the 250 actual watt CFLs they are long and sit sideways and aren't tubes with different colors...ANyway get the word out on these things...If I could have gotten results like you with 250w CFLs I wouldn't have ever moved up to HiD lights...So tell people.

I looked them up, and man I really wish I had seen those when I was first starting...the power bill has been rough with the fans and ACs and all that cost added with the HiD lights...Then again winter is coming...
Anyway I am definitely going to look into those...I have a friend willing to pretty much grow for me...and I gave them half my setup, that way I can still grow herbs and veggies and all that...anyway, I know that they are going to have a hard time with the power bill as well...and these might be a better option for next summer. That also gives me some time to gather the necessary funds.

I use the tube's you speak of....first it's all about the spectrum you wan't and the output measures in space in lux lumen's whatever...86,000 lumen's is 86,000 lumen's plant's onlt wan't access have awesome result's with the 200's....I also have suplimental light'e uvb ect...the new one's have seperate tube's with better ballance which you could do as easily with a mix 6500 2700 ect....
