Combo HPS/MH Fixtures

Does anyone have much experience with the combo lights having both HPS and MH bulbs and a accommodating ballast. I've seen a few on EBay with a 600w HPS, 400wMH combo and they llok like they'd be a perfect solution fo me. I had toyed with buying two fixtures and running both types, but this would save a few quid. Thoughts?

Here is my present to you.Go to Maryland Hydroponics They sell a 600 watt digital ballast that runs both hps and mh for $119 brand new.Uses 30% less power then old ballasts, silent running, built in fan so run real cool and is overdrive built to get 35% more light.

I will take a look. I am looking for something such that I can HPS and MH at the same time and not either/or. If that ballast works like that, I would then also need a hood with two sockets, of course. The one I saw on EBay was like $300 with both bulbs, but could be an inferior brand.

EDIT:
I went there and that site really SUCKS on my compute. Half of the pages either do not open or do not fully draw - including the ballast mentioned. Too many sources to have to put up with that. Thanks anyway.

Sorry you must have a slow or old puter site works great for everyone I sent.Anywyas Im curious Ive never heard of such a ballast asked my 2 buddies who own hyrdoshops and they hadnt either.Got a link so I can see what this thing is? Another question is why would you want one??If you want both spectrums youd get an enhanced spectrum bulb that has balanced light wave spectrums and if you want it for a veg room and a flower room why hassle with it when you can get 2 seperate ballast and hoods so cheap which would save energy, costs, space, hassle and time? Also if its 600 watt ballast running 2 lights it is either only giving 300 watts to each bulb which is huge isse or 1200 watt total which would be torture on a single ballast in dual mode.

I have 3, 400W, HPS/MH combos and I won't run anything else anymore. Got mine on EBay. A bit more money but the ones I have came with both types of bulbs and an awesome hood. The heavy ballasts sit on the floor. This set-up is sweet!

No, my computer is about as cutting edge as it gets. Some of the pages on the site do not alwayd load. Maybe their server has burbs. I can assure you it ain't my puter'.

What would I want one? Why not? I will see if I can find the link, if I have time. I have pertty much decide to go with a 600w digital balance anyway.
