color temp question

if 2700-3000K is ideal for flowering, what about 2500? i did some digging around for GE bulb specs and they have reveals that have a 2500K color temp.

any opinions on this?

Those should work fine. HPS run around 2000 so the fact that they are a little below the norm of 2700 should be no big deal. Being that they are a odd color temp I would be sure to check the lumens to watt ratio and make sure it is compareable to the others.
