Sorry if i missed some of your guys questions but ive been super busy lately... just 2 give my 2 cents: Coco is hydro and should be treated as such for the most part. The Canna Coco label says to feed the coco 1-6 times a day... Feeding often will increase yield, and as long as you're getting run-off then it will assure that your coco's pH and EC are staying accurate and proper. The longer you go inbetween feeds the more your ratios and pH will drift, risking lockouts and missing the chance to feed to the full potential.

that looks top zen specialy what you did with the 2 black round ones, thats preety amazing.

can yeh remember bro when your seedlings where like 10 days old in the 1.5l how many times a week did you water them then, and do you do it same as me water till some comes out the botthem when they 10 days old, thanks bro
well first off maybe you should "size appropriate" your containers. My clones and seeds get started in small 5oz cups, then after they root they go into 4"x4" square containers for the first two weeks of veg, "then" into the 1.5gal pots then they either get two more weeks of veg or out to flower. It's no way when you were a child that you could have handled a four bedroom house, your litte room was more than enough. But now that your grown a house that size would probably suit you just well. Now in relattion to your plants, it's no way a seedling can absorb what it takes to gett a run off in a 1.5gal pot. Start em out with their own small room, then into a nice efficincy, then when they are ready financially(good roots system) go ahead and move them into that nice house on main street. Hope that helped.

Assuming you are using RO water:

When watering seedlings, should I add the Cal\Mag at 200ppm for the first few weeks then start it up with A&B around the third week? What about Superthrive?

When flushing at harvest, I will likely do a 7 day flush but am confused as straight RO water making the medium unusable for future grows. What do you leave in your final flush water for the last few days? Do you have a nice clean white ash with no crackling?

I see many of you state multiple times that you use various micro nutrients throughout the grow. What micro nutes do you use? How much and at what times?

Thanks for the help!

hey man what up, as far as flushing goes at about the beginning of week6 I generally start tapering down my nutes to about 20-25% in the last week(some go lower though). That leaves me with white ashes, no chemical taste, and tokes that are not harsh at all. Imo I would not use straight water to flush.

Thanks, Just what I was hoping to hear.

What about seedlings... Do you just use ph'ed RO with cal/mag? Maybe a drop of superthrive?

I heard you are not supposed to give them nutes until 2 or 3 weeks.

personally I start my clones with about .5ml of A and of B per liter, with 1ml of Rhizo. I really don't use cal/mg or superthrive. Just the A and B and the Rhizo. But do plan on changing that, cause I'm ready to start with H&G, but I'm just so stuck on Canna.
almost forgot I only use tap water. Around here it always stays within the Canna range.

You are right to think that "seedlings" shouldnt need hardly any nutrients, if any at all... But I do recommend using a light dose just to assure your coco's microbes and buffers are kept nice and happy and also so that the nutrients are there when the plant does need them. Be careful about which products you use and cut the dose down by like 70-90%

There are a few products I would recommend for watering/feeding seedlings: Cal/Mag is something you want to use since you are using RO Water but for seedling I think a lower dose (like 80-150 PPM's) should be enough for the seedling stage... Next I would suggest a Seaweed/Kelp product... Other additives to consider are Humic Acids, Fulvic Acids, Sugars, Silica, L-Amino Acids, Vitamin B1, and Inoculants are all ok to use on seedlings at low doses. Superthrive is okay, but it is best used once at plantings/transplants at a few drops per gallon... Thats the only time I would use it and they say not to use it on flowering plants, and that it may have ill effects on your microbes as well.

You can keep a little cal/mag, sugars, and humic acids in your final flush solution... just try to keep your PPM's above 100 and below 300 or so and you wont have any problems.

Ive used several micro additives but most come with high N levels so you have to keep that in mind or try to find one low in N if you can... whatever micro supplement you use, keep the dose at 1/2 or 1/4 strength and make sure that you aren't doubling up on any dangerous micros when you add it to your base nutes.
-You can get a good portion (but not all) of the Micro's you want from the Canna A/B base nutes and the 200+ PPM's of Cal/Mag Plus supplemented.

hey I have a question. I'm at 24 days flower right now, and of course I'm using Canna. I wanted to know would I have any adverse reactions from switching to the House and Garden A&B nutes?
Thanks.

you could use them, a long time ago when I first started using coco I used them in a layering fashion. Basically a waste of money, because of the reason that you just stated. So really it's a waste of time.

Thanks jberry... Out looking at lights today and thinking about using a 1000w Digital Ballast with the Secret Jardin DR120. 8" wind tunnel fan with a dial and using a phresh filter.

Anyone think I will have any heat issues? Likely will have to water at least once maybe twice a day with a 1000w.

Any suggestions on type of COCO to use, there were quite a few at the shop but no Canna. ROOTS Organic looked good with castings and guano.... any advice?

Peace

I bought some cocogrow, should I mix in some perlite? Im going to be running a 400 watt hps in a small 2x4 area, I'm worried about moisture retention and am new to this. Thanks!
