i know canna coco has all the humic and other acids that you would need, the more it breaks down the more it releases.

I just mixed up some coco.. 1 part Fafards Coco, 1 part MG organic choice, 1 part perlite..

Well I have complete control over my insects, I have over 50 plants with not one bug, with out any spider mites. Coco is notorious for gnats, most every occasion bugs are due to taking cuts from someone else that has a spidermite problem. And some Old clone strains with very old moms are more likely to have bug problems.. The og train wreck that is clone only is notorious for spidermites.. Alot of bug problems are also due to people not cleaning their grow rooms or sitting water or leaky windows when the lights are on durning the night. also most bug problem happen in the summer when bugs are breeding and tend migrate inside where the weather is better.. Also I post this sticky, I've been growing for Coco for over 4 years.. And I am one person that can comment it better then most.. Coco is great, but it also has couple of down falls.. The major one is that all coco comes from the same island which is Sir Lanka, so all coco you get is from the same place. which means it is the same, the only factors in the matter is what additives it has, the grade of the coco( size of the coco which is stated in the first post) big coco dries to fast and pryth holds to much water, so to perfect it you have to mix it just right.. from top to bottom top inch is croutons then pryth for the root ball then the bottom in the long strains hair or more croutons, Now since its ph neutral I always had to lower my ph but with my mix I don't even need veg nutes, nor do I need to PH the h2o. I just water with straight RO h2o and magi-cal..
with the perlite making it not 100 % organic its still 66.6% organic.. don't forget Fdd2blk grows 5lb trees with a peat mix.. so kiss-ass

except MG Organic is seemingly notorious for having bugs.

yeah, I'm gonna water without nutes maybe every 3rd watering, should help also right.

It would be much better if you just use lighter mix but always used nutes. The micro life will require food.
Most vet growers will tell you to never use plain water on coco until the very end.

Here is a update, and a super cheap $7 dwc cloner which is working great!
I have whole new idea which I am trying its cloning while still on the mother plant which will work! I haven't heard of anybody trying this so hopefully I will be the first...
I am 3rd week into 12/12
And just started dropping the male pollen..

And my new method of cloning

you don't want to do that. coco is hydro, so it's not like the feed-feed-flush, some people do in soil.
I would think you base it on the run off but generally you always want nutes

MOG, i know nothing about cloning so this is just curiosity/interest haha. did you score the stem, rub rooting hormone on and then put the cube around it? if it works where do plan on cutting it off? thats a pretty clever idea! think it would save any time? i would think with that method there is no longer risk of an embolism(i think thats what its called).

thats what it is, I thought of it because I have lost a ton clones the last three time.. like 25% success. Using rapid rooters..
I've never done any kind cloning other old school cloning..
I like simple things in life.
I am not saying I created this method..
I just never heard of it..
I just thought it would be a great idea since if it doesn't root you don't lose the branch..

thats really cool i've never seen that either (in the few months i've been lurking about the forum). cloning fascinates me, i cant wait to try it sometime.

It's called air-layering and you are the first person i've ever seen try it on a cannabis plant. Usually that rooting tech is used on fruit trees. Cool mang keep us updated on how it works

great idea master. hypothesis: it seems that cloning time would increase by a handful being that the clone is still connected and has no reason to grow roots. i think using traditional cloning methods the plant is forced or "wants to" start receiving nutrients. by keeping it connected to the plant it has no reason to because it is surviving. after some time it should develop roots.
