one of my grows I used 30gal grow bags and just put a plastic sheet under it and a towel wrapped around the pot, then at the end of the day id just take them out to dry and put them back in the morning. abit like this pic
That is one fat stem! thats a good idea, I could use sponges or dish rags for now, that ought to make life a little easier, If your watering so many times a day it helps to make things go as clean as possible

I think the best thing to do for waste water is to raise your pots off the floor with a raised base, then just slide a tray under there when you water and collect the crap :P

I think your right. Now I am considering whether I should have trays underneath each pot(where will I find these tray? I'm thinking of using 30 gallon pots) ooooor I might line the floor with a thick plastic sheeting, and just mop up the floor after watering.

Any of you using Maxibloom only?

If not, give it a try. Switched to it about 5 weeks ago and been very very pleased with the ease of use and the plants love it. Also I use Canna Coco and Botanicare bricks as well. 25% perlite.

I flushed at the end of grow before I chop because I use House and Garden Nutes very clean and one of the additives is "drip clean" to help break down salts.

Hey guys, I have opted to go straight coco after some debate in this thread (and in reading it through somewhat). I tried posting this in the Plant problem forum but have had a bit conflicting responses. My opinion is there is a cal/mag deficiency, after a bit of research and picture finding. At first I thought maybe some burn. Alternating feedings with straight water.

Noticed these leaves last night after being out for a while with a friend who came into town. Two different strains, similar symptoms. I looked into it and figure it to be a cal/mag deficiency. Growing in Canna Coco using Canna A&B, Rhizo & Cannazyme. Also using Cal/Mag but was using reduced strength for all of them (about half). Leaves aren't too green so I think maybe I could stand to up the nutes a bit and I'm thinking there is a cal/mag deficiency. Also using a product called 'Prime' which I purchased at the pet store to eliminate Chloramine that is in my water. My tap water is 0-10ppm slightly basic.

My temps aren't perfect by any stretch but they are within reasonable growth ranges pretty consistently. My humidity is on the low side (I have a humidifier I am going to install in the tent on Friday) running in the 30-35% range although I am foliar feeding with a really light solution of enzymes to try to keep em moist. Most of the rest of the plants look pretty good in my opinion. I don't think it's a pest (i see no bugs with my 30x loop or 10x or my own eyes).

Any thoughts? Should I just water em with some cal/mag, maybe brew up a new reservoir with a slightly stronger solution (was @ 750ppm wh ich I thought was on the strong side TBH so I thought maybe it was burn at first but it looks more like cal/mag to me).

They look somewhat similar in problem, but not identical in advancement. I could easily be quite wrong and I sure don't wanna be. Help please

The one in the square pot is Sannie's Killing Fields F3 and the one in the round pot is Herijuana. Round pot was actually the most vigorous plant up until yesterday and then by the end of the day I noticed some changes on the other plants as well (as you can see). They are about 2 weeks from seed (I let them stay in the 3x2 cubes a bit too long I think and they got a bit root bound and then I had a little trouble figuring out how to best transplant em, some are doing better than others now my KO Kush x Jackberry got really stressed as I transplanted them first but they seem to be recovering).

hey guys my first grow with coco and i got a chance to use my friends tds meter. up till now i only had a ph meter. i was hoping you guys can help me out i was wondering if im using 100% organics iguana juice from AN does it show up on the meter with the correct ppm or is it off. ive been reading and reading and i keep seeing mixed info hoping some one can clear that one up for me. i use RO water and its at 25 ppm coming out. after adding calmag 1.5ml and Iguana Juice 2.5ml to 2L my ppm is at 330. ive been reading that in the third week of flower, like i am, i should be closer to 1000ppm. so all i do is add more Iguana juice to raise the ppm? i also just started using carbload, bud candy, kushie kush and budfactor x all at 2ml to 2L half the dose directed on the bottle. my ppm after adding all the above items from AN was just 350 is this normal? has any one used these products from Advanced nutrients before? i thought after adding all those supplements it would raise the ppm alot more. any helpfull help will be greatly appreciated thank you have a very GREEN day!

What is Iguana Juice? Is it made from juiced iguanas? lol

If its a hydro nute you should be able to check it with a ppm meter, if its for soil and is organic then you probably cant, but I could be wrong. Does it list off the % of each nutrient and give the full name of the nutrient? Maybe there are some clues on the bottle as to whether or not it is a salt based fertilizer. If its not salt based then you wont be able to measure it with ppm

adding additives doesnt bring up the ppm(not by much), Additives arent fertilizers they are other things(like enzymes, cultures, sugars, vitamins, trace elements)

Iguana juice is a organic nutrient sold by Advanced Nutes for like 40 bucks. i used it once on my mother plants in veg the 3-1-3 grow juice, while I was shopping I saw a bottle of Humbolt organic grow juice for about 14 bucks with the same exact ingredients.

I run straight coco over hydroton in a hempy bucket setup, using CNS17 Grow and Ripe in RO water. The only other additives I use are Pro-Tekt and a little BudSwel during the mid part of flowering. Cal-mag is not necessary, as the CNS line has plenty of both. I don't even bother checking pH and PPM's and all that stuff. I used to, but I'm getting lazy in my old age and I've enough experience under my belt to let the plants tell me what they want.

I feed with every watering and I don't flush until the final watering. It's important to not let the coco dry out completely, that kills all your beneficials and your girls will suffer for it. If you think it can go another day...it's time to water. I use the Grow formula until one third of the way into flowering, then switch to Ripe to finish, tapering off to plain water on the last watering.

I just put over 4 ozs. of Sannies Sugar Punch in the curing jars, from one plant in a 3 gallon hempy bucket. Yeah, you could say I like coco:lol:

Thanks in advance!!!
