Coco Growers Unite!

i have a problem with some of stems in flower, i have 3 rows of 5 on the tray and a couple of the stems on my lemon kush are significantly thinner than the others. the 3 thin ones are all in the middle row as well. what could attribute to the thin stems?

I'm a coco grower and love it have been growing in it for little over a year now. This last grow I ran into a problem I have never seen before, my coco grew mushrooms some were white and others were bright yellow? Any idea as to what they are and how I got them and what do I do to get rid of them? I finished up my grow and threw all the coco out replaced with new for this new grow. I use a mix of the fine ground coco mixed with the chips, more chips than the fine. I have been searching for answers to my question but haven't found any so please for future reference any ideas?

im guessing it would be to much humidity in the flowering stage. this casues mold spores to incubate in the medium and deep within the buds too. the trapped moisture is unseen to the naked eye until it gets moist enough to start growing fungi. that would be the only explanation i could think of.

Heh. You have pretty much the EXACT same stuff I do, even down the Lowes 5 gallon buckets. I used Botinacare Coco Bales. I'm really struggling. All my plants in CoCo are dying an ugly death. Make sure you drill a lot of holes on the BOTTOM and SIDE. The other thing i've learned is to water as slow as possible. 80% of what I pour in, runs out and is just wasted nutes and water, I think this makes the margin of error with CoCo very small. My plants in soil are kicking ass, my plants in Coco are drying rapidly. If use the Botincare coco bales rinse them, then rinse them again, then risnse them again, then rinse.... Trying to break the back of the salt and PH in coco is hard as phuck. Hardest medium i've ever used.

LOL. Well you can stop all that hard labor my friend....I use Botanicare bales also...I barely rinse and pre charge. I don't feel like posting pics cause I'm lazy...but my plants are all over this site and others. EASIEST medium I've ever used.

Selling seeds if any ones interested since they seem to be so expensive individually. 100 super silver haze, 200 white widow, 200 Himalayan gold. All 100% female. They are all quality picked out seeds. I will send them in tubes for protection. 500 seeds all female, for £195 in total thanks

Thank you James, that’s what I thought as well, but when my huge buds weren't affected by the humidity I wasn't sure if it was something to do with the coco. The new coco seems to be doing well I'm keeping a close eye on it and put in a dehumidifier as well just incase. Can’t be loosing any buds to bud rot ya know ;) I included a few pics of the buds from that harvest, unfortunally I didn't take any pics of the mushrooms.

hey beav nice looking grow so far man, those plants are healthy as. have you ever tried keeping humidity between 50-55 in veg stage? it makes a huge diff. also have you ever experimented with keeping the growth/pre bloom feeding cycle going for 3 weeks into flower?

Those 3 beautiful girls are my Jack Diesel. I also grow Train Wreck, Bubblegum Kush, Master Kush, Vanilla Kush, and Red dragon. Just got a few new seeds in as well so time for a change :)

Nota coco grower but I broke a couple stems super cropping(hangin by a tthread) and I just supported the broken part with training wire and put lil vit B (hormex) to encourage growth and its worked everytime. There's like marble sized knuckles where the breaks were. It did slow growth pretty bad for a week though, but now the stems there are thicker then all others on the plant.

Make sure the duct tape is loose so it gets some air flow thru there. If possible try to tie a tooth pick to stable broken part so u wont have to use tape.

I use hemp rope and pieces of plastic( torn plastic bag) and tie around stem. Has to be something soft so it doesn't cuut of ciculation and doesn't diig into plant. Then I hook wire to the plastic tie and then put screws around the edge of the pot. So then I can easily adjust it everyday by wrapping the wire tighter around the screws. If look in my grow thread u can see what im talkin about

Make sure u also tie and secure the stem an inch or 2 above the dirt so that the stem grows straight for a lil and then bends off to the side. This will make the plant more stable.

o maaaannnnn thats some sticky lookin stuff lambofgod
thats what im going for more yield off one plant but bigger
i noticed your outer stems were tied down
but how much manicuring did you need to do to get those fat buds on top

also noticed the lower branches had been trimmed
did you get rid of those lower weaker tops early on?

either way that plant is healthy looking good job

J
That one branch isnt really tied down, I just did one branch to move it away from the others.

I pinch off every little sucker below the top 1/2 of the plant. I rip them off as they pop up.

and thats 3 different plants

I did a side by side comparison. I tried a 7 day flush vs a 21 day flush inc coco, same strain.

Obiouvsly the one with a 21 day flush went 2 weeks longer then the 7 day flush. But it tasted way way way better in the end.
