I used landscaping fabric to cover the 4x4 bottom and this table is NOT drilled

Side B:arrow:(1 gallon pot side):

Thank you White frost:eyesmoke:
I am trying to simplify things and the beds look to do that,This BK has the tightest internodal spacing i have ever seen on any strain!
I noticed the plants with more coco than perlite had WAY nicer roots,i will try it without the perlite next time.

This is going to be interesting. I have been looking for a way to combine Coco with a tray system that is very low maintenance.
Do you water the pots by hand from the top? How will you flush?
...just a couple of questions that come to mind.

Thanks for stoppin by The Bed might need a drain installed for flushing,I have been hand watering but might set up drippers to make it easier. This is my first time using coco and other than washing/pretreating the brick i like what it has to offer.
How often do you flush your coco Evlmunkee ?

I like the setup headband. Im always a fan of direct comparisons like this. Definitely along for the ride.

In Veg I alternate between top and bottom feedings so they are flushed every other time.

In Bloom, for the first week or two, I topwater so they are flushed whenever they are watered.

Then I open the Autopot valves which feed from the bottom for the rest of flowering.
So, they go for about 6 weeks without a flush before the final flush. I have not seen a problem with salt buildup during this time.
I know that some recommend flushing every time and I am not saying they are wrong...just that I haven't needed to.

I have thought about using square pots in a tray with an Autopot valve or something similar. I would want a delay from the time it is dry until it is filled again. Then it would receive about 20-30 mm of water until it is dry again. Really, it is the AP system on a larger scale. It works really well on a single plant basis.

I like it, subbed for the ride. My only comment so far is that I think for an accurate comparison you would have to drill the bottom of the coco tray to get at least some drainage. It seems like it'll be hard to tell if you've overwatered, and with coco you generally want at least 20% runoff. I'm not trying to sound critical, I'm super interested to see how it goes. Good luck!

dude coco needs to be watered until 20% runs off. to waste.. so u need to install like a bunch of drainage pipes in that table to successfully grow like that.. it works outdoors cause it keeps going deeper into the ground.. u need run off with coco or ull get salt build up .. nutrient lockout... and finaly crap yield or death
