I have been hearing dry ice is a good source of co2 I am trying to c if dry is a good source
Adding CO2 should not show any immediate effects from a single application. It is intended like supplemental lighting and nutrients to make as much of the building blocks for growth available to the plant as it can use. Using CO2 over the long term will increase growth/yield and should be administered with a tank and regulator as stated above. I tried the "make your own CO2" years ago with 5 gallon plastic water jugs, yeast, sugar, and tubing. It was a hassle, more expensive than buying a tank & regulator, and the alcohol you produce stinks. ( remember the CO2 is actually a byproduct of alcohol formation )I used dry ice the other day, and boy did my plants seem to like it. And it was only $2.00 to buy, so I'm thinking about doing it at least once a week, they sure seemed to love it in my opinion
i see folks saying all the time that the use it/it works/plants perked right up etc. i think that they really believe that it is working. i think the vast majority of these people that do the brews or other methods really can't afford to buy the equip. they know that co2 is very beneficial, and want to believe it works. all you have to do, is do a before/during/after, measurement of the ppm of the co2 in your grow space. this testing is fairly cheap. most of the places that sell the gardening equip. (LOL) that we use, sell those co2 syringe measurement units/kits. once you see the results, you'll stop wasting your money/time, brewing etc.Adding CO2 should not show any immediate effects from a single application.
