CO2 to do or not

Your first grow? No, don't do it unless your funds are unlimited. Many things to invest in for a better grow before Co2. Carbon filters. Cool tubes. Testers and meters. On and on.

I have digital PH meters, duel carbon filters, EC meters, proper lights in both 6500 k and 2700 k, a mixture of both but mostly made of 2700k as i just put them into 12/12 only a few days ago. I have tried reading every blog I could on indoor cultivation, I have found mixed reviews over adding C02.

Sorry, missed that.

I actually have a complete co2 setup for my cabinet that I've never used, probably for the reason the reviews you've read are so mixed. It's difficult, ar best, to match up automatic temp control, room ventilation, and building up a concentration of co2 that is beneficial to plants.

Its possible to make a good and inexpensive CO2 system, using CO2 mini canisters (available on eBay for paintball guns, computer component cleaning etc), as well as a nozzle. You could also hook up an electronic valve attached to a timer. Only downside to that is the CO2 comes out at blisteringly cold temperature, so would need to be injected in such a way that its thermally controlled prior to reaching your plants. Its an option, but I wouldn't worry too much about CO2 supplementation if you have a good air in/out cycle. Thats the catch, if you have a good air in/out cycle it quickly makes the CO2 injection inefficient/ineffective, hence the sealed unit argument. Kind of one or the other type of scenario I feel.

For the price of a CO2 system, you could probably spend the same money on maximising the main important base setup, lights, reflective lining, best of panpipe CD etc.

if you don't use a monitor to maintain the same level through out the room during the entire light cycle, Don't bother. you need a sealed room, right temperature and temp.control and maintain the proper levels to make it worthwhile.
