CO2 system setup!!??!!

So I did a little searching around RIU and didnt see much of what I'm looking for. I was wondering if anyone here has any expierence with CO2 systems and which ones they would suggest going with. Im going to be testing this system in a new 8x8x8 room just to see if the results are worth dumping the money into the other rooms. What Im looking for is the full setup: Tank, regulator, timer, hose, and ppm monitor. I found one by hydrofarm the active air for 10x10 rooms and the monitor is the C.A.P. CAPPM4 monitor. I read just like you see on all other reviews pros/cons so I was wondering if anyone has first hand expeirence with this setup or one they are very happy with for a starter or professional system.

Thanks
X

I suppose I'm really stuck on what monitor to get. What are your thoughts on the CAP CACGC1. also looking for user friendly at the same time but also want something that is worth the time and money.

I don't know about CAP controllers but I am very happy with my Sentinel CHHC-4. It does temperature (heating and cooling), humidity, and CO2. It costs around $700 and is very easy to program and operate. I highly recommend it.

Ok thanks Ill take a look. Assuming you run CO2 do to your reply, do you really see that much of a difference: growth rate, density, faster flowering, etc. The main reason I am wanting to run O2 at this point is because summer time heat ate me alive this year with electric bills and keeping my flower room below 91 degrees which is not near perfect conditions. From what I have read it is good to run O2 between 80-85 degrees but have seen others say its ok to run hotter. Bottom line is the upside of running O2 worth the money or would you suggest just slapping some inline chillers.

the ppm3 is a great controller for the price. for your size room i would recommend going with a minigen generator instead of a bottle setup. cost savings alone for the first year will pay for itself, my 30# propane tank cost $23 to fill and last for over 3 months and you can get propane anywhere. i ran my room for over two years before adding co2 and got about 18-20% increase in yield.

I used to sell CAP products. Based on my experience, I can tell you that I have zero confidence in anything they make.

Sentinel is the way to go. That's what I run in the big room. It's an investment, don't invest in something that will fail.

Im glad this thread is here, Im thinking about running co2 as well, any ideas or suggestions on how i should go about running co2 for a 11x16 grow room? What all do I need and how often do you think i'll have to refill my tank, if the tank route is my best option? (over the generators)

I have cooling issues and my tent is between 88-90 so I have bumped the CO2 to 1700PPM. I am getting a 2HP water chiller and will be doing water cooling for everything but my target temperature is 80-83 so transpiration can stay high.

So I took a look at this and I like it very much, my only question is does it come with a controller or is the controller built into it. By controller I'm refering to the ppm monitor?

Yes the CO2 PPM sensor is built into the probe which also houses the temperature and humidity sensors. You put the probe (which is on a 14 foot cable, I think) in your tent and then you can mount the controller box on a wall.
