Hey everyone! I just got a Co2 generator, I've ben reading and watching things about Co2 and how great it works. But I dont know if I should use Co2 during veg at all. Some people tell me its a waste, and just use it during flowering. Can anyone please help me out with this question? Happy growing!

use it in both stages if you want fast growing healthy plants....using it in veg is hardly a waste

Do you set to release a certain ppm all the time or just give large blasts?
I use a plastic bottle and brewing airlock. it releases enough and lasts a week or so. VERY easy to make and refill. getting the airlock is the hardest part.

I have access to an unlimited amount of CO2 canister's but what I am not sure of is how much to release? I can get a regulator too release what ever I want for ppm's but how many ppm's do I need to release and how often do I turn on the CO2?
thanks

My buddy hooks it up to a regulator and it turns on 3 times a day and he turns off the air in and air out and lets the plants breathe.

He uses a small 1/4" tube. holes are poked in it with a large sewing pin so it doesnt release to much. the tube is wrapped around the plants. it depends on your room size and setup but he has tubing in a 1.5' x 1.5' grid pattern around the plants. he does 32 plants though.

run 1500 ppm for co2
during veg expect 40 % bigger/faster growth
in flower u dont harvest any faster but at least 40% bigger/heavier buds
ive been running co2 for 8 months with amazing results
imho.........not using co2 isnt very smart
why not increase yield by 40% with no added plants or electric/light

Of course I use CO2 during veg.
1500 PPM during the light cycle.
Here some pics I took at 5 weeks of veg 2 days ago, they were drinking 5 gallons of nutrient per day. I turned them over to flower stage last night.

I just got a brand new Co2 generator for hydro innovations and planning to split up the difference to each room ( veg & flower). Gonna put my Co2 monitor in the flower room, since I think that its the most important room. I cant wait to see the results! thicker...heavier buds...sweet! The monitor I got with it is kick ass. It turns on when the ppm is at 1300, and turns off at 1500 ppm. Its not fully installed yet...but it will be, muahahaha. Just cant wait. But darn it! making Co2 out of a bottle wouldve been alot cheaper.

You Should put it in your veg and pipe into ur flower to minamize heat even though those systems significantly reduce heat output with there water cooling they still emit 25% when running coolest so if you dont have a chiller to chill the water then your looking at around 50%.

But they are awsome systems I am geting one for my greenhouse soon, Im doing a sealed greenhouse ha

use it for bolth veg and flowering.
start it at 1600 ppm as lowest set point, then increase by 100ppm per week until a peak level of 2200 ppm is reached. keep it at that for the rest of ur cycle. hope that helps! GB

Hi guys,
I'm onto the co2 too. First time using but its made a great difference. I've read from Jorge Cervantes that some growers reckon not to use it in the last 2 weeks as it reduces potency. Anyone have any experience of this?

Having used Co2 for the last 18 months iv learnt to switch it of during the last 2-3 weeks, there is no scientific proof it lowers potency, but im after my grows with it im sure.

One guy I know used so much CO2 that his buds would not burn all the way, there were chunks of carbon left that you could not burn even with a torch lighter. They tasted horrible too. We gave him so much shit about it he stopped using CO2 altogether and he ended up with the best harvest he ever had.
I recommend not to go over 1500PPM just to be safe. As far as turning it off at the end goes, never tried it but seems like it would be OK since they need less at the end.
