CMH vs. HPS

If this has been talked about in previous threads, I'm sorry for the reoccurrence,

I'm building out my room for flower and I've come to a standstill with choosing the correct light for my build. my space is a 18' x 16' sealed/insulted room with an a/c unit and dehu to control the environment as best as possible. My ceiling height is 7'8". I would most likely be implementing 4x4.With the being said, I was originally planning on running Hps 1000w under adjustawings with a galaxy commercial ballast. As I spoke with the Hydro store sale guy, he was telling me about the Sun System 315w system. Swearing by it! Mentioning how they are energy efficient but have a higher up front cost. Something I really worried about was my ceiling height and if that played a factor in getting HPS vs. 315/630w

I spoke to a friend running the Nanolux 630w system using dual Phillips bulbs. He loved them. I'm really trying to wrap my mind around my options and would really appreciate everyones input! I appreciate your help in advanced!

Why are you asking this in the led section and not the hid-section? Are you hoping to get convinced to do led?

As for CMH/HPS: a lot less heat on the plants which allows you to keep ambient temps a little higher than with HPS so apart from using less power on lights youd use less power on AC.

this is the correct section for cmh growers, if you read the title of this section it is called "led and other lighting" CMH would be considered other lighting. there's no section dedicated to HID growers by the way. Here's the thread that's dedicated to LEC growers (yes it's in this section) https://www.rollitup.org/t/lec-light-emitting-ceramic.866862/
