CMH Light and Eye Protection

I definitely want to protect my eyes, but at the same time I don't want to break the bank for eye wear. Thankfully I don't care if I look like a tool, so I'm looking to pay for function as opposed to how rad it looks.

Would these be suitable for use when working around a CMH light (315W)?

I just use my regular sunglasses. I have 2 x 315w in my tent and I've noticed headaches/migraines if I spend too much time at the tent without the glasses.

Those are safety glasses, and I can tell you from experience with probably 30-40 pairs I have gone through that none have had good UV protection. I get eye strain during the day outside with them, and when I swap to oakleys the strain is instantly brought down. Get some good sunglasses with good lenses, or get grow glasses. I just picked up the Apollo HPS glasses for $15 on Amazon. They work well and have less eye strain than my oakleys. Best of luck, and protect your eyes.

Berkeley Anglers, available in the sporting goods section of Walmart. $12.97 for dark tint, polarized, UVA,UVB protection.

They're made for staring into sun glare on the water, so you can still see fish.

For looking at filaments or COBs themselves, grade 5 welding shades.

I'm a SpiderWire fan myself, only because the screws don't rust out as fast saltwater fishing.
