Right, so bagged up the last OG seed and popped that on top of my Bose soundsystem (they seem to germ in about 24 hours on that, lol). Also put down an OG Larry x OG Larry, and some selfed OG Kush seeds I got from my run earlier in the year (not holding out much hope for them to be anything, ut you never know). Oh, and a Bolo Kush as well, although I only had really fukked up looking seeds that I doubt will even germ, but here's hoping.

fingers crossed for yer OG lad.

I use plastic cups and put the seedling at the bottom and add medium to support the stem, leaving just the leaves exposed and add more medium as it stretches.

So whats the deal with all these OG cuts? Do they all come from the same gene pool just different phenos or something? Ive seen deadhead og, sfv og, larry og, og kush....i think the list goes on for a while.

I think its prolly crossing their og cut with other things to make the og "whatever" or the "thingy" og. The seed i got was from a bag seed that was from a bag from the grey area, D knows more than me.

and here is a quote from the thread i'm not sure if i agree with or not. maybe someone here can shed some light.

Because S1's aren't identical copies. S1's still produce variations in their offspring. I don't think they're claiming they are cuts off of the same plant.

SFV is a hybrid, Ghost is questionable but probably a hybrid, Tahoe might be the original, and I don't know about the fire cut as far as how it came about.

I think it's about time the MJ community moved on from chemdawg, putz, rezdawg and the rest of the stories that float around. And S1's of course can have different genetic make ups but have the same building blocks (10chromo's from each parent.) Getting the chance of growing S1's is ideal because you know that whatever made the original is going to be pushing out similar genetics in the S1. Whatever any of them claim, the original grew on a mountain side in a valley in Pakistan, India, or Afghanistan....simple as that. All these other people are responsbile for, just like anyone who breeds, is making the genes available to the wider market. There is nothing to say that a variation produced from an S1 OG cut of whatever flavour, is not going to supercede it's parent in strength, potency, and everything else which is why it's funny to hear about people banging on about the original clone only original cut, blah de blah. If your plant produces dank, your plant produces dank, simple as that.

The spread of genes across todays breeders and the way the MJ as a plant is developing is a good thing imo. The more crosses, the more variations, the longer the gene pool will stay fresh and vibrant. This is also why traditional farmers in MJ growing countries get cross pollenation from surrounding valleys and fields where slightly different variations can be found. The way nature intended it. Naturally with everyone producing sensi this needs to be replicated in a different format.

Ok, on a ramble this morning and I got things to do. Laters, DST

Haha, lot of words for this early on a sunday. I agree with you though, if it get's you high it get's you high it doesn't matter what it's story is. I get a bit annoyed with breeders who go feminized only, i like the idea of getting a bag of seeds and knowing that i can do all kinds of things with it if i so feel like.
