I have a reserve reservoir with about 35 gallons of plain tap water in it. The pH was 8 so I used GH pH down to bring it to 5.5 and let it sit for 24 hours with a circulating pump and an air stone with the lid on. The pH was 6 and everything seemed fine. The next day pH is 6.5 and the water is cloudy. I can understand climbing pH but I have never had this cloudy thing happen before. The only thing I did differently this time was to add the pH down directly into the reservoir. Any ideas?
