Closet guerrilla grow

I could use a little input of how I can make 2 grow spaces in a closet that's 8'6 hi by 4ft across 2 ft deep. I'm using it now but I want to make more from my space. It's gonna be for blooming only. I have hps and led lites. Was thinking of using both but not sure if better to start or finish under which. Or I can get another low profile de hps reflector. Just not too sure how to do this.

What about going vertical and having shelves around the perimeter of the closet. keep more small plants and have more usable space.

Yes I got moms in a different room. Just need to get a plan before I get near bloom time. Need to figure out how they start. If I divide the space I'll only have 3 feet worth of height. Not gonna have much clearance till they too out. I was hoping to use a trellis this go around.

I would figure out some ventilation and extraction and grow 2 plants in the whole space. Why devide?

What kind of wattage are the lamps?

I have a 600 watt hps ballast, cool tube and an open air wing reflector. I also have a Mars 2 900 watt and a Mars 300 watt. All work. I have fresh air in. That's no problem. The reason I want to divide the space is I wanna try to harvest a plant every month. I have open air space to veg mothers and cuttings that's ok. I need to be able to flower more than just one plant. I've done sog. I've used tomato cages. I need to produce more. I was thinking of doing a 2x4 trellis that way I can maximize the space. I was hoping to do two 2x4 trellis. One top and one bottom.

You can grow two plants that might yeild better than short shelf grown ones and stagger them apart 30 days. For a 8 week strain you can harvest one at a time every month and have your clones ready to plug into the space.

Or you can do it like you said and use more plants but I don't think the lights you mentioned will be good for the half height space.

And you need space for the pots and the lamp and the minimum space between the light and plant. That is all that is left for the plant.

That's my dilemma. I figure if I used a double trellis set up I can start building a deep canopy and hope for the best. I was trying to get a rotation going but my space limits me.

If you have a veg space and a flower space you can still do a perpetual.

I started with a little 2'x 3'x 3' veg tent with a 4 bulb 2 ft T-5 lamp to germinate seedlings and grow 1 plant at a time for about 30 days. It would have all stages in it a couple red party cups with a new and a 2 week old seedling ready to transplant up to 1 gallon pot. And right next to it is the last plant that just got transplanted into its final 3 gallon pot for flowering.

Then into the 4'x4' flower tent. Which has 4 plants 2 weeks apart and I would Harvest one and hang in the drying closet about twice a month.

You need a good reliable 8 week strain and it is not easy to keep up with and ends up with an extra plant in the way or a space in flower. But it catches up and can stay perpetual with work knowledge and practice.

I have since doubled my lamps in a new room and have been perpetual for about 3 years.

Oh I forgot to say. For your space just do 1 plant a month with 2 plants flowering a month apart. Learn to bend and train the plants to fit their space but have nice branching and yeild.

I used to get about 2 ounces every two weeks. But with more experience now I have doubled that. However to double also takes up more space and needs more training.

But that is the problem you want.

U got the answer Michigan med. I've been watching the grow boss on utube. It seems much better to me with less work. I'm gonna go that route. Thanks mich med.

You are welcome. The timing and knowing when your plants are finishing and how long a new one is along and good germination or rooting are all things you have to constantly watch.

And you need to fix the lamp up high and use stands to lower them as they grow. They will all be different sizes.

Good luck man.

Read Ed Rosenthal's grower guide. It is online as a free pdf. I don't have it in my phone.

He outlined many gardens from closets to multi light. What you need to get started is in that book.

I've been at it a while. I used to do smaller plants and lollipop but I found that I can get more using a trellis. I'm gonna see if I can build a 2x2 trellis and anchor it to the pot that way I can still turn the plants and pull them out to inspect for problems. Like I said b4 I've been watching some stuff on utube and I'm gonna try new techniques.

That is a great idea. Personally I just stake and tie as needed. I have seen some altered tomato cages with a scrog screen mounted on top of the first ring. That would really help the small space.

Nice talking with you. I got to sleep. I work at night.
