as long as you get the light closer and have that fan, I'm sure you'll see some really fat nugs during the end of flowering. Thats when you really see them get chubby, thats when light is most vital.
thanks.....im upgrading to a 400 watt hps in a few months maybe on my next grow...but was always told 150 w hps does good for 2 plants.....especiall when they are not flowering at the same time

Hey Tex, You got some good info here.
I didn't see anyone recommend air cooling the light. If you have heat issues now and move up to a 400w you are going to cook them unless you run air across the light and out of the area. Google cool tube. Better yet, Google DIY cooltube.

OK, I'll bite. Why do you think that?
I see the quote under your statement. He has a fan blowing on the light. I'll bet it is not the same as a cool tube.

how about you actually read before questioning me, requesting proof. He has three ducted fans and one of them being for the light.

it has a vents in there....3 fans total for that closet...and direct air pipe from outside....that should be enough right?
being a 150w and a fairly large closet, he doesnt need anything spectacular for cooling.. when he gets the 400w, he will need some cooltubes for sure.

That's what I said. If he moves up to a 400w he will need an air cooled light like a cool tube.
When you use those you draw air directly from outside the closet across the bulb and back out. It is not the same as venting the whole area.

"Actually read before questioning me?"
Ha! How about you!

sry guys for the confusion....no i do not have a "cool tube"....but when i upgrade to a 400 w...i will be upgrading that as well.....also my room is covered top to bttm with mylar....2 duct fans......one floor fan.......the floor fan is blowing up at the tube......rather than down towards the plants.....tops of plants seem to not be stressing..... its only been 12-13 hours that close but i put my hand right above the top of the plant...and theres no discomfort...so im assuming everything will be good....ill be checking a lot more for a little bit to make sure though!
