Cloning to determine sex and seed question

Will I have any difficulty cloning plants to determine sex with 2 2ft t5s. Second question which I'm trying out with my mix seeds. Is there any truth in female seeds having con-caved ends like a volcano. I choose one like that to germinate.

T5's for cloning should be fine. I used CFL's and they were good too.

As for the seed thing.... I havent read anything yet that can say if a seed is male or female or inbetween. You'll just have to try it out.

Usually people veg from seed for a month, clip a clone and put it into flowering. Within a week or so you will know if thats a male or female. Then you could just discard the clone and carry on with the vegging mother plant.

Or cut a bunch of clones from the now confirmed mother and use those for flowering etc..

Honestly, I would never cut a clone off of a plant that hasn't been sexT unless it was the last of its kind and you wanted to possibly obtain pollen?
Seeds, in all reality it's most likely a myth about the shape determining the outcome of sex for the plant, Ive found that the bigger and dark watermelon stipe covered the better, and usually I get about a 70% female ratio just going for the dark ones. I don't think appearance or shape have much to do with sex, but can suggest other things such as how developed /healthy the plant that developed it. just my opinion.
