does cloning reduce vegging time by about 1 month?

you can veg for as little or as long as you want

my boy just said if you have a 3 foot mother that your vegging you can take say like 20 clones from that and those are new plants that only need say 2 weeks of vegging now .then flower so you gonna get more bug faster then growing 20 seperate plants

not really, but if your buying clones does. if you clone your self you add alot more time to your grow last time i did my own clones took me 6 months before i got any fruits for my labor?

i didnt see how that was either.. how much light do you think you would need to get 1 lb of a plant each? he saying its easier to get 1 lb per plant from cloning and faster

ok this is what he just said now and i want to see if you guys agree

say you vegg a mom for 3-4 months now you take clones those bud u cut them.. now your done.. but instead of growing new plants you keep that mom vegging and take new clones now you can keep a steady stream of bud cutting of 2-3 months of flowering. cause of the mom.. anythoughts?

yea its called sea of green method. as long as your clones are ready for flowering by the time you finished your latest batch should be fine.

It's a perpetual grow, the idea is that you can take sexually mature clones anytime you want instead of having to veg new plants. The two week time-frams you mentioned can work, but they won't have a pound each! They will be small plants...that two weeks will be spent growing roots, not shoots.

so if your gonna do a 12 plant grow and aim for a few lbs cloning isnt going to give you the higher faster yield? just gonna give ya a jump start on veg time?

How fast the plant grows depends on how good the roots are.
You can grow 2 weeks 18-6 useing MH. And get a pretty big bounty.

But that said and done it depends on the strain. Sativas stretch more in bloom and only need max of 14 days veg ( some can be best reverted strait 10/14) were a Afghani can need as much growth as bloom.
The key is to learn your given strain and get the best from it

cloning has nothing to do with yeild, the reson for cloning is to have a uniform constant supply of female plants.strain,light,food,and heat, are the four major factors in your yield, get youself a couple of clone domes for cloning , u can never have eneough colnes, use extra clones for tring new methods of growing thats the fun part

I cut my clones an put them under 24 hr light for 21 days. I them plant them into a 1 gallon pots and veg for 21 days under 18/6 they are 12 to 18 inches tall when I put them to 12/12. I harvest 8 plants every 21 days. average weight 7 to 10 oz

I understand this is old... BUT

when you take a clone... you technically dont need to veg if you dont want.

it genes are now a full grown plant and can be put straight into flower without any veg time...
