Ah I misspoke. I was running 24/7 as well.
I just don't see the need to bother with a setup like an aerocloner when all it takes is putting a cutting in coco or soil. Don't get me wrong, aerocloners work and there is nothing wrong with using them. It just didn't fit into how I want to grow. I'm always looking for ways to simplify growing.
and cloners do it for me...its a machine for making little plants and in volume

if kept clean and in a working state offers infinate possibilites for making many little trees not only weed ...lol

I started to use cloners with temp troubles with the dome and tray

It worked great for me when I was doing flood and drain in hydroton. Once I went to coco it just made sense to use the coco for everything since it's so versatile.

wow and I’m over here thinking I need to be a freaking chemist expert and an engineer. I tried the dome with rockwool everything died didn’t like that, Tried 1 sprinkler in the aero kit dead, Tried the ph thing and gel died, This time I think the only difference is I moved the lights away further, I used a timer to keep the pump from heating the water up and I also switched to straight tap water.

I made a DIY aerocloner similar to yours years ago. I decided it was overkill for cloning. Pumps, timers, etc... I now just clone in coco. I get roots in a week ready to transplant within two.

From this:

I just make my cuts, stick them in some coco and put them in dim light. No dome or anything else other than maybe an occasional spray of water if they start wilting which is rare. Saves a bunch of space and is much simpler with excellent results.
Im gonna try this next time. In fact my lizard tank is all coco maybe I’ll just plant in there.

Without a doubt a cloner just makes sense .....as long as care is taken when the cuttings been took ,their is no reason why 100% can't be achieved in a very short period of time (usually 7-10 days)during this time no watering is needed (obviously )instead of the 2-3 waterings a day with coco. ....

I don't water 2 -3 times a day when cloning in coco. The coco stays damp long enough for roots to form withing 7 days. In fact if you did water clones in coco 2-3 times a day they would stay too wet and rot. It's just another method to achieve the same goal. Cloners are fine but definitely not necessary for successful cloning.

I've done all kinds of methods sucessfuly (even used only a cup of water to sucessfuly root a clone).....but none as easy as in the cloner......theirs nothing wrong with doing it any way .....as long as it works.....

Bingo! Do what works! There are many methods. All are good and work. Use what works for you. And your grow.

Good luck and happy growing

I’ll tell you what these girls are in the new solo cubs “fox farm ocean forest” and looking good in just a week they are rooting through the holes I cut in the cups lol. this strain is something else!!!
