Cloning during early flowering

I am starting to flower out some some big girls, but recently lost my batch of clones due to a mite infestation on them. What is the latest I can take cuttings and root them without having to worry that they are primarily flowering vs. transition phase? I am currently in 36 hours of dark to reset light phase so budding will start quickly, but I assume you have a few weeks before flowering starts in full and the cutting will be nitrogren deprived so easily rootable... hoping for answers,

yo, i think u will be alright man i just did the same bout a week ago. took 2 clones off a flowering plant, already got roots.Go for it.

It is not any big deal to take a clipping from a flowering plants and make it a clone, just takes a little longer for the clone to adjust. What this means is your cloning conditions are even more important
