Cloning autos??

In all of my years of growing I have no experience with auto flowering strains. Can you strike clones from an auto before it produces any flowers or is it possible to do so?? The seed company gave me quite a few auto strains so I'm trying to figure out if they're worth my time...

If there worth the time depends on setup, space and your goal.

If you got a veg tent on 18/6 with any space in then stick them in there. If you use one tent to veg and flower then it's probably not worth having them on 12/12 when you flip the others as the yield will be reduced so it would be a waste of space.

If you do only have one tent though you could just run autos and give them a try? You might not pull as much per plant as a photo but it's an experience and surely you'll learn something from it. So guess that just comes down to what you need out of them. However, I've seen some awesome yields from growers who have lots of experience with autos.

As Resinhound said an advantage is they flower regardless of light cycle but it's mostly agreed they need 18+ hours of light per day to be worthwhile running. Depending on how many you run and your financial situation an advantage could be that they use less nutrients. Lastly is the time to harvest, some auto strains can be grown and harvested in 8-12 weeks.

Sure and its a lot easier than you think..

imo you have to be a proficient cloner first as its important

that you have your roots attached to those auto clones,

within 10 days or 14 days max

Strain selection is important too, Id go for a well known and popular strain

from a reputable breeder and avoid these Pheno-pirates that abound currently

also as you have no experience ..grow some autos out first,

would give you better insight than these noobies opinions ..lol

with autos I prefer the bubble cloner for 10 days max

or its a restart and try try again

getting the clone with no vitality to bloom, is the real issue here

good luck
