Cloning advice

Ok sO my cloning has not been the best most likely due to me being lazy with them. I was using cubes and a tray with heat pad underneath and dome on top. I had like a 25% success rate so I would just pop new seeds. Now I have a Turboklone. I took a set of cuts and only 1 rooted after like 7 days. Now there may have been several factors that made this happen. I put them in my 3x3x3 tent where my mons are with a humidifier no dome. For 1 I think it was the humidifier and the heat I don't kno. Also when I took the cuts the 45 degree angle was no wher near the node. I am taking cuts today and run this for another 2 weeks. I going to use superthrive clOnex solution h202 and the cloned will go in my closet instead of the tent with a humidity dome. Do youvthink I'm on the right path now?

I think successful cloning is dependant on alot of enviormental factors as is growing. Temp of the water in the rez,no light entering rez, temp and humidity of grow space, where they cut is taken, age of cut, stage of cut (flower, veg). My cloner has a seperate rez so the container that my clones are actually in is full of just spray and water droplets. So that would leave me to believe the amount of humidity and temp inside the rez is just as important as outside of it. I had 100% success my first run of cuts and I'm fixing to harvest soon so I'll be putting my clones into the flowering cabinet and taking more.

I cut the end at a 45 and scrape the outside stem alittle ways up on the shorter side. I use liquid Clonex in my rez mixed according to the bottle, which I quickly learned I"m going to need a bigger bottle if you are mixing 5 or more. That reminds me, the amount of water will also play a part as with smaller amounts of water the temps, ph, and ppms will fluctuate more dramaticly than within a larger amount of water.

Sorry for the rambling just tried out a new cross from the dispensery and all I can say is fuckin 'WoW'! One of them is Pakistan Vally x Blacke’s Treat Indica dom. and the other is sativa dom but can't seem to find the cross info i'll have to ask next time I talk with them

IMG_20110628_165134.jpgTbh i had TERRIbLe luck with cloning till i recently nailed it out.

my method so far has achieved 100% root rate

Grodan rockwool cubes that i gently pressed into a rapid rooter tray with a humidity dome. i do not use clonex or any other "cloning" gel. I simply mixed 1ml of superthrive along with a small amount of my bloom from dyna-gro to 300tds. i had someone mist the dome/plants twice a day although im fairly confident only once a day is needed.

I placed this dome under 2 23watt 65k cfl's and in a full week i started seeing roots out the bottom

I managed to get some of the more damaged clones to root by adding the beneficial bacteria tea i had made to rid myself of root rot.

All the clones i had were taken off a plant that was dieing to root rot i simply waited till most of the leaves had become crunchy then clipped the top of each stem below the second node and stuck them unharassed in the cubes. the clones at this point were all shriveled up and limp after 24 hours they sprung back and became happy

i ended up with around 30 currently my setup is filled with "dead plant" clones i still have 18 left in my dome if you want me to mail you one
