You can almost use any light for clones. But that one you linked will be more than enough!

I did some reading seems 5 aspirin in a quart of water and left for 24 hrs can be used for cloning as can aloe vera gel.
Never tried it but it has the same stuff as boiled willow bark tea.

Anyone have any experience with rooting while the cutting is still on the plant?

Basic instructions on how to do this:
Rip bark off the future clone where the roots are supposed to grow.
Take a rockwool cube and cut it half way through.
Put rooting hormone on the part where the bark was stripped.
Place cube over it and cover in tin foil. Wet from time to time and check for roots.
Once roots are coming out of the cube, cut the branch at the base of the cube and replant.

Saw this in a video about growing a while back. Not sure how well it works but by my reasoning it should be 100% effective and a bit faster.

Yes! It's called air layering or pot layering. It's a technique that is hundreds of years old and was originally used to clone trees and large shrubs.

I'm new to the game and am on my first grow as well as first cloning. For kicks I bought a seed starter at dollar general for $1. You wet the 10 flat grow circles and they expand. They r a bit messy but my first time using them worked 7 out of 10, not bad for a buck. I also found that a heatpad helped as well if in a cooler room. My 2 girls are 26 days into flower and between them I have produced 12 healthy clones. This is a fun hobby. Thanks for the good info.

Seen a few people asking questions about cloning the last couple days.
Was going to start a thread with my method but Searched first and found this great post which is pretty much how I do it but much better written and in depth then I could have ever made it.
