I'm taking rooted clones from mister into hydroton under HLG550 Any advise on light distance and maybe something to help with initial shock to give plants a little help until established into ebb and flow buckets?

Thanks guys

Start at 36" inches with your lamp dialled way back. Keep a close eye on them for the first little while (3 days or so for hardening off) dial up and change the lamp distance when necessary.

Ah cool, I started there I didn't realize I could turn down the lights. I'll take a closer look. Thanks

As a precaution you can hand water the hydroton from your res for a few days too. Just to ensure there is no drying of roots.
What system is it? Does it fill bottom up then drain?

Im using 1 gallon ebb and flow and a 55 gallon res. Yes I'll be hand watering for at least a week. My clones are looking pretty shitty not sure how to give them a boost other than time to strengthen up a bit.

Thanks

A bit of kelp might help. Nothing that is fert and kelp though, sometimes its hard to tell if your buying kelp of a fert with added kelp.
I would re-sterilise your res at a later date.

Kelp? Recommend a brand? I gotta do something asap maybe throw away and start over from cloner. They look great there.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Any brand from local garden store, kelp is kelp is kelp. Im English so brands will be different to yours.
But I think you got some issues there dude.
What you feeding them? What EC?
With my limited experience with ebb and flow pods hydroton can dry out real quick.
Are you sure the roots are getting wet? Res is right temp and lots of o2? Ph correct?
How often are they filling up?

I'm thinking my res is a little hot 80. ph is 5.9 ppm is 480 I'm watering every few hours currently until roots establish enough for roots to get wet. I'm wondering if shock from cloner under T-5s in this system under the 550 is stressing them as well I have them almost 4 feet about plants. I have tons of great looking clones so I may start over once mini split installed

Thanks
