I have read that aero cloners work great and am thinking of making one myself.

But, the way I have taken clones with 100% success so far is I use rapid rooters set into soil in solocups (with drainage holes), haven't lost a clone yet. I fill the tray under the humidity dome with about 1/4" of water with some dilute rooting hormone. Of course I dip the clones in rooting powder first. Make your own hole in the rapid rooters with a sterilized nail (the hole from the factory is usually too large). I let the water in the tray slowly evaporate to slowly reduce the humidity and force rooting. I only put a 24" flouro on top of the dome in my veg room, I also have the tray sitting on a heat mat.

I mist them once a day lightly for the first couple days then just mist the dome to raise humidity after day 4 or so. Take the dome off for at least 30 minutes a day for the first few days. open the vents totally after 3-4 days.

This is just a general roadmap for easy cloning, if you do some searches on this site or google you will be able to fill in any blanks on the process.

Make sure everything is sterile, and after you take the initial clone put it into a cup of water immediatly to reduce any embolism possibility. Make another cut at 45deg just before you dip it in rooting solution/powder. It isn't difficult to do. Make sure you do not bend the stem of the clone when you push it into the rapid rooter or other medium. Press about half of the water out of the rapid rooter before it goes in the soil, you don't want it too wet.

Aeros work great used em for years. Distilled/RO water and youre good to go

If you cant afford to do an aero or are intimidated by hydro, plugs are the shit and theyre cheap. Prob get a dome tray+insert and plugs for under 20 at most stores

I am very intimidated by hydro, just because my funds are extremely limited. (on disability income).

you said:

could you explain this further...
what kind of store? like a plant store?
what are plugs?
when you saw tray to which kind are you referring?
inserts-what is a insert?
i only ask for clarity cus i have no idea what any of these things are. im totally wet behind the ears here. and i dont want to go to either the wrong store looking stupid or the right store totally lost for what i need.
