Clone or Seed?

Noob question here.

What is the pros/cons from growing from seed, or just going down to your local club and grabbing a bunch of clones?

Well, if you buy clones you don't have to worry about whether your seeds are male or female(since clones tend to be taken from female plants, and are thus female), and you also save a week or two of growing time since you skip the seedling phase. That being said, I can't really think of any advantages seeds have in relation to clones, except maybe the fact that they can be stored and planted at a time which fits you.

i think the advantages to seed over clone is more options.. sometimes when you grow out some seeds of the same strain from the same breeder, you may get different phenotypes.. some of which maybe a lil lesser qualtiy than some of the others.. you may also find that one pheno that is totally above and beyond the other nine or so plants in the pack.. once you find the keeper in a pack of seeds, you can than clone her..
i also think that by buying seeds, you know exactly what you are getting.. i have heard plenty of stories about getting clones that were called lets say og kush, and they have no clue who the parents were, and you really have no way of knowing that what you are getting is what you paid for.

clones will a be exact replicas of each other, so they will grow at the same rate and mature at the same time. i would go with some clones unless you want to get that one super female plant out of the seed packet.
