Clone lighting

I usually use t5 fir seedlings and clones but wanted to try an MH since I have some laying around I don’t use. I’ve read MH runs hotter than hps so I guess my question is will the 600w MH burn my cuttings or will it possibly make them stretch if I hang it higher over the cloner

Waste of electricity
because you don't need much light to clone
I have dual 4 foot t5's over my 60 site but i stopped using the light and just use a 15 watt led from a local dollar store

Put the clones in your 18/6 room. They'll be fine.

I’ve seen t12’s for about $15 at Lowe’s, A 4’ two bulb. Is this suitable for cloning?

Exactly. Also too much light might actually make the clones NOT root. It really doesn’t take much.
