Clone dome Question

Checking the clone dome latley I have noticed that the humidity has gone down from 90-99 the first week to between 70-80.The plants are in rockwool in a cheap clone dome. No aeroponics used.

Does this mean I should water them again or should the be fine with 70-80 humidity with me spraying them every couple days.

I thought you were supposed to wait till you see roots coming out of the bottom of the rockwool before you put them into soil. I was told that in another week I should be able to see roots.

What do you think?

Anyone have any suggestions on weather or not I should wait for rooting to come out the bottom or if I should just plant them in a few days.

i use a clone dome with a heat mat in rockwool and i never mist my clones and i never mist my dome. water your rockwool and then put the dome on.your dome will be soaked within an hour.when your dome looks dry it means your rockwool is almost dry and you should probably water soon.this is how i do it and i get nice fuzzy roots in about 7 days

How much water do you put on your clones when you rewater them. I dont think it should really matte but I take about 2 liters and soak about 20 cubes with it.
What setting up what temperature and humidity do you usually have them at.

it dont realy measure the water i feed them. i just give them enough to keep them moist.your plant realy wont use the water in the rockwool anyway until it sarts rooting,so dont overwater.you just want them wet enough to supply the dome with enough humidity to last until you tend to them.i water about every other day. as far as my temps,i dont know? i have a seed starting mat that i just leave on 24hrs,only water when dome is dry, never mist my clones, have roots in 7 days,100% success rate

Hey Grow 1,
So should I not open any vents in the dome or wipe the dome at all correct? I should just rewater them whenever the dome has no moisture on the sides correct?

I would say keep the clone dome on them and about 80% should be good but if it drops much more mist them to bring it up. I would also wait til the plant roots to plant it to make sure it developes the roots.

Sorry I am trying to make sure I get what you are saying.

You are saying keep the humidity up past 80% and if it drops below then mist them?

That's what I'm saying, but of course when you plant them keep them in regular veg. temp and humidity. About 72-80F and 50-60% humidity.

Should I be whipping down the walls of the dome when it gets to moist or just wait till it dries.

If so should I give it another water or just mist them?

Should the clones always be between 80-99 humidity when in the dome or is that just for the first few days?

Don't wipe down the dome you want droplets to build up all over it. If their are no droplets then check the moisture level of your medium, and water accordingly. The dome should begin to form droplets again.
