clone a clone??

is it possible to clone a cloned plant? or would it be smarter to keep a mother plant?

i hear u can clone from any plant it doesnt matter, maybe it wont be as potent but it will have the same genetics as the clone. give it a try man it cant hurt any.

im only asking cause i have a small area and i wont be able to keep a mother plant cause it will get too big and im just trying to stay consistent with the yield

Ive also read besides potency you can start to loose genetic consistancy, like different internode spacing or growth patterns, but Im a noob this is just what I read I have no hands on experience

I heard a lot of ppl say potency will decrease but they are just saying that more experienced growers will tell you its not actually true.
I don't believe potency will decrease at all, it does't matter what part of the plant it is the top cola just makes more potent buds because it gets the most light and it is central to the plant, if you cut a branch and clone it the top cola of that branch should be just as potent as the top cola of the mother plant wold be assuming the plant is allowed to reach the same size.

yes you are still getting a duplicate of the original.
The only thing I would imagine is that the strain of clone after clone through generations might start to lead to hermie tendencies among the plants.
Though I have no experience to actually base that on, since stress seems to be one of the primary factors in making hermies it makes a level of sense.

Yeah I haven't heard that and I don't really believe it. True that stress causes herms and cloning a particular strain would increase the chance that stress occurs since its alive longer, but I think its always as sensitive to stress as the original. If anything changes, it gets stronger as it gets used to varying conditions it lives through.

I know people cloning clones for over 7 years now...

No decrease in potency...

No increased hermie traits...

Just 100% exact copy of the original...

I clone from my moms, which were clones themselves...

Clone your clones and you will be fine...

100% guaranteed...

however, one thing to note is the clone takes on the growth of the section of the plant you cut, so if you're making a clone mother you should use the top of the plant to make it.

You can clone a clone all you want. You arent going to lose potency, this isnt multiplicity. Most people that say they lose it are pepole that have only read it from other people.

??? whats going to be the difference? Its still going to grow like a pot plant, straight up with nodes. Can you elaborate?
