so you accept that CO2 is a greenhouse gas that causes warming, and you accept that human activities have sent CO2 levels skyrocketing to their highest levels in nearly a million years.

premises you have told me you accept:

1) human activities have sent CO2 levels skyrocketing to levels not seen in 800,000 years
2) CO2 is a greenhouse gas that traps heat

premises that you do not accept:

3) human activities are causing warming (the logical conclusion of premises 1 & 2)

why?

Reported yesterday...Over $$2.2 BILLION ($1.6 of OUR money) later the Ivanpah solar power plant reporting dismal results in there quest to provide power to 140K people. Equipment challenges and lack of enough sun factored in. Instead of 2014, they are now saying 2018 is when they will reach their goal. Thank goodness they have a natural gas backup, OUR money, and the money of Google (who has already said that their own servers cannot rely on it) to augment this folly-filled experiment.
Again, not ready for prime time. Things need to be proven viable on a smaller scale. Easy to dream when the money is free.
